Members alphanguy74
I'm really glad to see this. I want this to be a watershed moment in the music industry where performers of a certain age are not thrown out to pasture. And an emphasis on TALENT over tits and ass. Susan Boyle, Lady Gaga, Adam Lambert and Scissor Sisters gives one hope for the future.
Members Sylph
This is all very lovely and I'm really happy for her, I really am. The only thing is that I found the album - awful. Just better not to say anything. She completely obliterated the competition, including Lady GaGa, Rihanna, Shakira etc.
Members EricMontreal22
I find it dreaful too. Safe, middle of the road, close to muzak production, safe, surprisingly emotionless vocals. If I wanna hear songs like I Dreamed a Dream or Cry Me a River there are so many better Broadway and jazz vocalists out there... But oh well--it is a nice surprise on the blip I guess. Members Sylph
I Dreamed a Dream sounded ten times better when she sang it live on the show. She completely neutralised Patti LuPone, whose version now to me sounds horrible. But this album version... Those snare drums, for example? Awful. Members DRW50
I don't think #1 for six weeks, with no big single, shows waning interest. That's a very strong run. I don't even know this Ke$ha woman who apparently is too precious to have a real name.
