OLTL: Anyone else think that Cole and Starr need to be severely backburnered?

i dont mind starr/cole so much, ebcause ir eally dont feel they have taken the show hostage or anything. they play a major role in a major storyline, but they bare not front and center for all of it, they shift back to supporting ans todd/marty/john/blair shifted to lead for a bit.

That said,m the entire group of people in this storyline could use a little back burner time, along with jessica/brody/gigi/rex/stacy

Yeah... I'm not Cole and Starr's #1 fan, I do like them, but they are on constantly. It's probably because of the whole baby storyline and how they were directly impacted with that. I hate to say this, I know they've been together, they have a child, but...

are they REALLY getting married?!?! She's 16, 17?

They definitely need a break. they're on everyone episode.

Wouldn't they be 18 since they graduated?

BTW, I also wanna say that Starr Manning has become a great disappointment. When she was Jack's age, I figured that by the time she was this age, she'd be a deliciously troubled, off color, sarcastic, witty, hell on wheels bandit who was endessly entertaining (sorta like Darlene Connor on Roseanne)...but puberty actually ruined her character. She instead became a boring, annoying, dippy, stale little ingenue. Blah. Recast and rewrite.

ITA. I had such high hopes for Starr. Darlene Connor is a great example but I saw her more as a Veronica Mars type - a savagely smart, sarcastic yet very compassionate grrl who didn't fall for any BS and had a code all her own - preferably with Matthew acting as her version of Wallace.

If they rewrite effectively, they might not need to recast.

Brian Frons would have to leave first, before we get any writing for women which isn't this weepy heroine mode.
