EJ & Sami so remind me of classic Stefano & Marlena cat and mouse scenes.

James & Ali play bitter ex lovers scorned and out to get eachother so well.

I am loving that Ali went makeupless after Grace died too. Adds a touch of more realisim IMHO.

Abby was mentioned today. And the show finally wrote Patch & Kayla out of town.

Nicole needs to be killed.

Hot damn. AS and JS are on fire.

Ejami as mortal enemies is just about the best thing this show could have done in the last few weeks. Every time they have a confrontation, it's like a fight to the death. I can't tell whether these two want to rip each other's eyes out or tear each other's clothes off. OK, obviously everybody is sad about baby Grace and all. But you know, eventually, down the line, somebody over at Days is going to say "Hey. May Sweeps. Sami and EJ giving in to their love/hate passion." In the meantime, I am just going to love them doing battle because they do it so well. EJ bending waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay down to whisper sweet threats to "Samantha" is absolutely priceless.

Daniel. OK. I still can't get into Dr. Pelvis. Shawn Christian goes all cross-eyed everytime he does his "Ah cain't keep away from u Chloe" speech. And his "sexy" hoarse voice is bordering on Sam McCall whispery ridiculousness. I mean, I know he hasn't got much to act against (a plank of wood with a weave) but, really. He is letting his hairy chest do all the acting for him.

I will say that Days does brilliantly what no other soap does right now -- delayed sexual gratification. Eternal foreplay. Soaps pioneered and excelled at this once upon a time. When EJ and Sami fight, you feel it. When Daniel zips up Chloe's dress and start panting, you feel it.

Poor Lucas. Always the guinea pig, eh.

Sami turning to Philip and Stephanie just moved the Kiriakis/DiMera feud up a couple of notches. I like how the Bradys are just bystanders caught in the middle at this point.

Gross, no thanks. LOL When EJ/Sami go into Santo/Colleen mode and become all romantic, it ruins them.

They are better like this, it's way more enjoyable.

I'm so glad Kate's back to revenge mode - it's fun watching her try to kill/harm Chloe and like I said before, she is what makes this storyline watchable.

Yup. It's too bad Daniel/Chloe are getting the "I want to be with you but can't" angle - if this were a different couple I would be enjoying all the sexual tension. Reilly-1 was very good at this. This and Kate trying to kill Chloe with poisonous eggs are just more thing that this regime does to remind me of Reilly. :(

Even though nothing came out of it, I still liked it those scenes because I'm a big fan of character/family interactions.

I'm still on yesterday's show thanks to the stupid pre-emptions that put me behind. Was it ever mentioned where Steve and Kayla are before? I haven't missed an eppisode in years and I never heard anyone say that they left to a third world country to help out. Did I miss something? I thought they were supposed to just wander off screen and still be in town. Which would really suck and there would be no explanation for them not being with Stephanie given all that she has been through. But still, that was the first time I heard of them being gone.

Nicole really has me feeling sorry for her. Ari in really stepping up in these scenes. I hate to say it but I'm on her side and not Sami's right now. Nicole is showing more of a human side to her than I've really ever seen from Sami. She hates Sami yet she feels sorry for her. Sami would never show any type of empathy for Nicole. Just for that alone imho Nicole is the better person right now.

I think this was the first time it was mentioned that they were in the 3rd world country.

I'm loving Nicole/Ari too. I was surprised to see her call Sami and offered to help her see Johnny. Nicole feels so guilty, but of course she won't tell the truth, and I like that in Nicole.

AS & JS are magic together. Love, hate, the inbetween. They just have it and have from the first moment they met on screen. I hope Days forever plays this up.

I love Daniel. LOL. IDK, but i do.

Lucas is what he should be.

And i so agree. The Bradys who? OK, well Steph and Sami are Bradys so they are involved, but really the only Brady who really thoguht of Sami as one is Caroline, lol. I do love how Bo is just trying to stay out of it. he is like yeah, me and hopeless have delt with them long enough. we r done, yall r stupid. lol. But i do love Sami going to Stephanie. I like the family relations being played up, i just wish they had more of Bo/Philip brother scenes.

Kate is the worst part of the show. I wish someone would kill her off.

I disagree about Kate. While I will always fondly remember Deborah Adair, Lauren Koslow is a treat to watch, even if she is treading water through the same old "No woman can have my son but me" story (Nicole... Sami... now Chloe). More than that, she and Shawn Christian have explosive chemistry together and I sort of wish Daniel would go back to his hot affair with the cougar.

Chloe: I'm not cut out for TV. I've been saying that from the beginning.

 She said it, not me!

SalemPlace, I agree about AZ and Nicole. I don't know how she's done it, but yesterday she had me feeling for her and was Voice of Reason with Stefano. BTW, I love the way AZ and JM naturally integrate in their scenes their interaction with the baby who plays Sydney.

Thoughts on Stephanie & Philip? I know she's all Stepford-y and stressed with the pills and Owen but... it's like the actress is shy about looking into her fellow actor's eyes! I wasn't feeling their connection yesterday.

Guest dc cubs

^^ It's been a few weeks now. They are so quick I almost missed it the first time and FFd through it. I like them and find it a nice little addition to the show.

Yeah but they do have to tread lightly. As Toups said, when they get all Santo/Colleen, the whole vibe is ruined. No matter what happens, the knock-down drag-out adversarial nature of their relationship has to be preserved.

I love him too. I don't know why either. I'm just a sucker for hot, hairy chested man-hos I guess. I just can't help myself.

But I have to wonder if Bryan Datillo ever gets tired of the Loser McClueless routine.

There's just something about Koslow, I can't hate Kate even when I want to.

    • In the 1987 episodes, Mary has wonderful conversations with MJ and Cheryl. This is a realistic family with believable dynamics. Mary's ambivalence towards Vince is played nicely. Denise Alexander is so good here. I don't know what happened that the writers or producers just decided to chuck it all away. I don't FF these scenes. The show had a strong family that could have had years of storyline and they did nothing with them. I really don't get it.
    • I can't speak for Sonni, but I thought Annie came off as neurotic from very early on. That's just how Cynthia Watros plays her parts, and the writing went along. I don't think Claire was mentally ill - they claimed she had a brain tumor, didn't they? I am never sure just why they made the effort given that she was leaving anyway.
    • @DeeVee Claire is a perfect example. So many women came to Springfield as competent, smart, and talented professionals. Then they’d attract a so-called “good guy,” get dumped, and spiral into complete chaos. What always strikes me is how clearly it plays like a male fantasy—yet it was written and sold to a female audience.  I'm not a content expert, but I don't think cis gendered women fantasize about losing control of their mental faculties in response to an orgasm. Similar to Holly's story, it seems repulsive, because I don't believe women fantasize about becoming more vulnerable and appealing to men after they've been assaulted.
    • I just watched some parts of an episode of GL where Roger has just been shot by Holly. Rita then admits to Hillary that Roger raped her. Kasdorf is such a fantastic actress. I wish there were more of her work available.
    • -- Alex Alegria has almost a full sleeve tattoo on one arm and a large tatt on one pec. I see no indication that the show is covering up his ink,
    • Didn't Carrie2 even seduce a minor? Ick. Oh, yeah, and she even tried to seduce Alan, but this was his post-prison era when he was trying to prove to everyone he had changed. It's funny that of all people he didn't go for it. Wait. Josh had an affair with Vanessa? Or she just thought he did? I know people always say "it's just a soap" but the way mental illness is portrayed on soaps (and that goes for pretty much all of them) has always been not great, especially PPD. They practically turned Claire into The Joker. She also was trying to seduce men. (I notice that now Mary Ryan Munisteri is listed as co HW with Ryder in the 1986 episodes, Claire has calmed down a lot. Never thought her GL career was very good but seems like she tried to course correct that a bit).
    • sss Ms. Tunie is a goddess. I feel all the anger, pride, sadness, arrogance, dignity, fear, love, and other emotions in everything she does as Anita.
    • You're right. People like me who stuck with her, did so because of her history. The show just skated her along with no story,  no goal, no aim. Right again! This is who I forgot before. When you describe her, it makes me appreciate her more. Thinking back I loved Mandy.
    • Maybe Guza is becoming Y&R Head writer and Jilly will be named EP! Remember CBS installed Latham as consultant and later Mal Young, both of whom took over the show. Of course, they each got credit during the consulting days.
