Members Y&RWorldTurner
Thanks. She rocks, sad that she never lived long enough to enjoy the success and cult following she would develop in death.

Members Y&RWorldTurner
You just don't get powerhouse scenes like that between Morrow and Stafford. Bergman and Stafford bring it greatness in one another. Kind of reminds me of the scenes that won Stafford the Emmy in 2004: "> " type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"> I couldn't find the actual clip, but you see part of it in her Emmy win. Members Y&RWorldTurner
Case and Walton have been as good as her this year too...
Members AllAboutAngst
I think Chappell has 2010 in the bag, but that doesn't have much to do with Y&R lol, just saying. I'd argue that they have been better, particulary Walton since I think they have both been more consistent than Stafford. In all honesty, the only standout Stafford day I have seen so far this year is the day Phyllis asked Nick to leave, the "say it to me" scenes. Members MarkH
I just watched that with someone else. And we both GASPED...GASPED at the critical moment. I don't recall GASPING at this show in...honestly...forever. The P3 and Mac reveals were spoiled, so I didn't see them in that way. But this scene...perfect! Members Cashton
I see that too - but MS is blowing me away. I think MS, when given meaty material trumps them both because of her well-rounded powerhouse, real, gutsy performances.
Members MarkH
But for some reason Case doesn't get nominated. Not even prenominated by her cast mates. I wonder what that's about?
Members DeeeDee
Not with Cooper, Walton & Morgan in the running.
Members Y&RWorldTurner
With the show ending, I don't think GL will have much of a showing at next year's Emmy, and if this year proved anything, the production model didn't go over too well with lots of voters. I don't expect Chappell to make the final ballot next year.
Members AllAboutAngst
Because Case is a very different type of actress. If you look at those who are constantly nominated, they're very raw actresses, sort of unpredictable. I think that Stafford, Zimmer, West, Flannery, Tognoni, Chappell, Tom (when she was Victoria) all have something very similar about the way they approach material - they are very forceful and dynamic, they can really command a scene. They all have a very big presence onscreen. Case is a much quieter actress, she tends to be more understated. I expect them to have a pretty huge showing next year, for that very reason, the show is going off the air and it is their last year of eligibility. Plus the model has improved leaps and bounds from what they had in 2008 and KZ, GT, and CC probably have more material this year than 99% of the actresses in daytime.
