Does anyone live in an area where the soap times are a bit off from the norm?

I use to stay with a friend in new mexico and there AMC would come on at like, 11am. Then GH at 1 and OLTL at 2. It was very odd.

I know GL airs in a few diff timeslots around america.

Anyone else got any?

GL: 10AM(NYC)

AMC comes on around 2am here in the Bay Area. I can never find it regularly but it has happened on occasion where I come home to it already on. It's a pity they didn't play the entire ABC daytime lineup. I would tuned in.

Here in Sweden there have been some changes just this past week.

Days used to air at 1 pm and the rerun from the previous episode at 10 am, B&B used to air two episodes at 5:35 pm.

A few months ago they removed Days rerun that sometimes had better ratings than the "new" episode. Last week they moved Days from 1 pm (it has aired at that time ever since it started here in 1997) to 10:30 am. And starting today B&B only aires one episode and after that G&H aires.

Now there are three US soaps airing here and it looks like this:

10:30 am: DAYS (TV3)

5:35 pm: B&B (TV4+)

6:05 pm: G&H (TV4+)

Here in Kentucky:

Y&R (same day): 4 pm (eastern time): Louisvlle, KY (WLKY-32)

Y&R (day behind): 9 am (eastern time): Lexington, KY (WKYT-27)

The Baton Rouge ABC station airs on a day-behind schedule at 11am. The CBS station airs Y&R at 4pm. New Orleans's CBS does Y&R at 11am, which isn't really unusual.

In NYC, GL airs at 10am, which it has for years. When I lived in Philly, it began airing at 10am in 2002. I think Philly was one of the last O&O stations after Pittsburgh to move it to the morning.

1978 was it for ABC when it came to smart scheduling.

1987 was it for CBS.

It all honesty, CBS was smart with their way of scheduling. With the exception of allowing GL to be aired in the am, but that's a whole other story. They were smart to put Y&R at 12:30. That's something ABC should have done with AMC, at least for the sake of Ryan's Hope and Loving. It would have really helped those two to follow AMC.

ABC on the other hand, here it airs at it always has, AMC at 1, OLTL at 2 and GH at 3.

Yeah, GL at 10am in New York, NY/burbs, still at 3pm in D.C. area but last time I checked, Baltimore was airing it at 10am.
