This month is gonna be fantastic, IMHO!

I am looking forward to more DiMera vs Kiriakis. Nicole trying to keep all her secrets from being exposed. More Stephanie & Philip. Sami & Rafe falling more for eachother. And Kate trying to take Chloe down!

I am commenting on Days yesterday here...

How fantastic was the roman vs sami scene?! OMFG! It was perfection. Esp to happen the day after Will lashes out at Sami! To have her stand up to him and tell him how she feels honestly and not cave in and work him over! It was something i have long awaited. The only other scene that comes close is when Sami was told she has to choose EJ or The Bradys and sami told him the bradys can go to hell.

Loved the Lexie/Nicole scene.

The drama that has come from Tony's fall has been fantastic as well.

rafe/Will was great. i want to know more about rafe!

Caroline/Sami need more scenes. Caroline has been in Sami's place.

The stefano/ej/nicole scenes were great.

god, LH is such a overactress. idk if she always has been, but i wont miss her when shes gone.

I really hope Chloe isnt prego.

I also am glad EJ called Nicole out on her always saying she will leave.

Melanie... i like her.

Lucas standing up to his mommy is good.

Stephanie & Philip

I guess maybe because i dont the history with her. I mean, i liked Anna during the internship storyline and i liked her flirtation with John. And i loved LH on Dawsons Creek. But these scenes, were just... bad. But perhaps LH did exactly what she was supposed to do with this them.

Oh man, that final scene with EJ & Nicole was great. I loved it. The rest of the episode was a bore tho. But tomorrow Sami is back on :)

I never saw her in the 80s (except on Dynasty) but I like unrealistic characters and somewhat hammy actors. It's why I love Thaao's Tony, and JM's Stephano and OLTL's Andrea Evans. LH fits right in with them. I mean, who dabs tears away with a hanky except if you live in a cartoon? I loved when they were all trapped in the hospital and she was worried about running in heels or whatever and one she worried she had helmet hair. Hope ain't gonna worry about that!

EJ...I have to be honest, I preferred ultra evil EJ who would wipe his shoes in Steve and beat Patrick with a belt. This reimagining of him as the suffering husband being duped by the treacherous wife just isn't working for me. They're ok, but both he and Sami have been watered down a little too much for my taste.

LOL! I hated tony and tina both! i only liked tony when he teamed up with Sami back in like 03.

I agree about EJ. he is best as pretty much pure evil.

However i disagree about Sami. Sami is a character so broken by the last two head writers plus years of them never allowing her to grow at all. I loved it when they isolated her off with rafe. Its as if they let sami rebuild as a character. the basics of her. now shes back in salem. lying and scheming and plotting like her oldself, but in a more adult way and for better reasons. i love it.

However i would also love a return to evil sami.

Will handing Grace to Mia... awww. Too cute. and did you see that look on Mia's face?

The best scene of the episode, perhaps the week even, was Sami & Bo. I have been awaiting a scene between them since Sami came home and am so glad i got one. I love the relationship between those two. And Sami going him worked because she needed to know about the effects of her keeping this secret, a secret that was kept about Bo many years ago.

Sami finding out about Tony was good. loved her running to EJ... and Bo's reaction.

They have had really good family scenes this week. Sami/Will, Sami/Roman/Caroline, Sami/Bo. EJ/Stefano. Victor/Philip. I have been loving it.

and congrats to DAYS on the ratings! Kepp it up!

I don't believe I'm about to admit this, but I am getting back to watching DAYS on a regular basis. Just watched Apr. 1's episode, and it was thrilling. The hospital scenes were fun (it's always good to watch Nicole squirm), Lucas and Sami were sweet, and my God was Kate scheming to bring Chloe down fun or what? I can't stand the actress who plays Chloe, she is just. so. bad, so seeing Kate circling her like a vulture was great fun! (shallow note: That blouse Koslow was wearing was fabulous). DAYS seems reinvigorated, it seems alive... not bad, not bad at all. DiMeras vs Kiriakis'... BRING IT ON! I wonder if Chloe is pregnant.... (don't tell me! :P)

    • Thank you very much for the information!!! All the episodes that person sells are the ones which appear or have appeared in youtube, and some have wrong dates.  Due to that, I guess some people, who have rare and inedite episodes, refuse to upload them in internet, because then, others make money. I hope ABC create a place in the net where we can see all the available episodes they must have, as Retro tv did with the Doctors!!!! Retro tv did an awesome job!!!! Have a look :

    • Dina was Jack, Ashley and Tracy's mom on Y&R.  Joanna was Lauren Fenmore's mother, played by Susan Seaworth-Hayes.
    • The funeral was not onscreen - only the Brooks returning home after the service. Not aware of any available clips.
    • Very very well said!!!

I would only add that Sam Ratcliff is frequently named in regards to certain AW comedic turns.  And, we know from Carolyn Culliton (tweet 2024) that Sam & Gary put their heads together & came up with that gorilla.
    • I knew you would be so excited seeing your girl Brookey as #1!!!! She also WINS as to Frequently Married!!!
    • Yes, Stacy does this both for early DAYS & early GH. I have written some for her, for DAYS. But just one tiny point & that is that she only deals with DVDs. I realize that is not the point of your posting but it seemed the right thing to clarify. I know that you know that video tapes is past, not present.
    • Hahahha I think sleeping with almost all of your daughters's boyfriends and husbands and getting pregnant... definitely gives Brooke the right to top 1 place. Long live the whore of Beverly hills.

    • CurlyQGrl has DVDs of some episodes, that they can sell, but that doesn't matter. What is helpful: they describe the scenes on the tapes, so you can read that as recaps without ordering anything. Doesn't really give storylines, though, which is what you asked for.  Here's the links anyhow. full menu https://www.angelfire.com/tv/curlyqgrl/menu.html GH page https://www.angelfire.com/tv/curlyqgrl/gh/menu.html GH 1960s https://www.angelfire.com/tv/curlyqgrl/gh/eps/gheps1960s.htm
    • I would argue that Another World never played "everything" for laughs. Even when there were comedic scenes in some storylines there were other storylines that were not intended as comedy.  You give 1988 as the end point, and Mary was on the canvas from August 1986 to February 1989, so she must have overlapped with the despised laughs you are referring to at least half of the time she was there. I honestly can't recall any real comedy that Mary would have been part of. I don't think she was lighthearted about choosing between two husbands, MJ's prostitution, Kathleen's death, or even her son Scott dating her daughter Cheryl.  I would have said that the amount of comedy depended on the head writer and there was more comedy under Richard Culliton and Gary Tomlin in 1984 than subsequent headwriters. I guess there was an outbreak of more comedy when Cecile kidnapped Cass from his wedding in 1986, but in general the Sin Stalker wasn't presented as funny, Mitch's return wasn't funny, John's arrival wasn't funny, Reginald wasn't funny. The tone was serious even if the plots verged on the ludicrous. And maybe that's what you mean -- but I would make a distinction between intentional comedy and storylines I can't take seriously for other reasons.
