I know that I am way too critical :)

Perhaps I am a selfish soap freak, who got mad at Vera because the storylines didn't go the way I wanted. At one point during season three I was really addicted :P

The Lucas actor was horrible though. I don't think that the idea was to remind me of SATC's Anthony.

PS: I thought RC's OLTL was great! Then Gary Tomlin showed up, after that RC returned and the show was fine again, I kept watching through the akward summer of Mendora and 1968, thought that Todd and Marty were rather hot, but I realised that I cannot watch Starr Manning every day for the rest of my life and now I watch 5-10 minutes per week..

And I love that about you. You bring a sophisticated, mature and balanced perspective to every discussion you participate in. Still, I am sad you're giving US daytime crap a chance and this poor show is something you've already give up. I know I would watch, if for nothing else, only to observe how these people (A & K) write. :D:P

What a surprise when I opened next week's TV magazine and found a feature article entitled: "Soap Operas that Made History" (with references to Edem of course!). It's not that special, but it has some nice info on soaps and a little tidbit about TMTE! Besides, I'm surprised they even wrote it at all!

And which others made history? B)

It's generally a recounting of all the Greek daytime soaps (a couple I had never heard before!) from LAMPSI to VERA STO DEXI to TMTE.

Tiletheatis used to have a soap column in the late eighties-early nineties with news about US soaps. Nobody knew these shows here (only SB, Y&R snd B&B were shown here during that time), but the magazine featured articles about ALL shows, propably copied from the Soap Opera Digest. By that time I was also familiar with GH, AW, GL, ATWT, CAPITOL and LOVING through satelite TV and I was delighted to read what was happening in the US episodes. Pre-internet times were very difficult for me, as far as soaps were concerned.

Anyway, I found a group about MTE on Facebook (from what I see there are quite a few) and there was the first trailer of the series:

No idea, haven't watched yet.

But I *presume* that there will be some main storyline going on.

No I haven't! But it's the one new show that I've been planning to catch up on--will do so soon! It looks fabulous.

Where are you, people? I'm just interested in how it's going. Better? Worse?

Are the viewers there? Fan reaction?
