Didn't you mean Beautiful People?

 I meant Beautiful Life, this new thing for CW that Mike Kelley (ex The O.C., ex Swingtown) is penning. Starring the annoying-as-hell Mischa Barton and Elle Macpherson.

It's now Beautiful People?

No, sorry, I thought you were talking about the short drama series starring Daphne Zuniga...

Never mind... me with my usual misunderstanding.

It's been quiet here the last few weeks...

Toups, do we have any news coming up for the next month?

Alvin, was there a story Guza wrote you liked? Anywhere, but especially on GH?

I think 1998 was Guza's best year, though some would argue that belongs to his 1996 tenure. I loved Alan's pain killer addiction storyline in particular.

1998 was also the year of the re-visitation of Luke's rape of Laura, but that was Michele Val Jean's idea, a storyline Guza and Wendy Riche let her craft.

In fact, I'd go as far as to say that 1998 was GH's last great year PERIOD.

Wasn't it Pratt who wrote Models Inc., and not Guza

They both worked on Models Inc. Pratt was an Executive Producer (and Co-Creator with Frank South), and Guza was the Executive Story Editor.

If Models Inc was any indication what Guza would do in primetime, I'm glad he never had a successful primetime career. I believe he was the Executive Story Editor on that show, and yeah, it sucked - really badly.

Approximately five steps down from Executive Producer/Showrunner... depending on if there's an executive script consultant in there or not... or consulting producer. But usually, story editors -- executive or otherwise -- aren't as influential as Exec., Co-Exec., Supervising producers.

I say all this having never seen Models Inc. I was in high school, probably freshman year, even. So I haven't a clue as to what his position was over there... and if his work there speaks of his talent.

I'm sure he had more than average influence in terms of story content. Pratt and South had to have been more concentrated on the mother show, Melrose Place, of course.

Spelling and E. Duke Vincent of course had countless other projects to give attention to.

Well, who knows? With a clever title like "Models Inc." anyone would be incredibly optimistic to expect literary brilliance.

Anyway, my question is what in hell is going on with Tracey Thomson at AMC? She hasn't written a script since February 17. Was she not intended to write scripts, which is why Lynsey "Darfour" (I'll never forget that! LMAO!) was brought in and subsequently failed to impress -- which led to Michelle Patrick coming back? I did find it rather interesting that among Walsh, Little and Thomson, Thomson was the only one scripting.

I was just coming in to ask about Tracey Thomson as well.

According to last weeks Suds Report Daran Little had to scurry back to England due to Visa issues, so maybe Pratt needed TT to focus more on whatever the heck it is she does with Walsh and Little when she's not writing scripts?
