He didn't hire a hooker in Mexico, he hired one (Crystal) for Frank the forger so she could distract him while he went back to Frank's apartment to destroy the tape that had his voice.

Just goes to prove my long term theory that Sharon is really that bad in bed and Jack is having to go elsewhere to find someone to really get him off. Phyllis could get down and Kinky and Sharon is a purely missionary type of girl. That's why Brad likes Sharon, she doesn't risk causing him a heart attack.
