In this case, I think it would be a murky cased, because Rianca don't have a legal arrangement, do they?

I would think that Kendall and Zach would get claim to both Miranda and Gabrielle, being the closest next to kin on either blood lines. Gabrielle, of course being a clearer case as Zach is her biological father.

It is sad to think Reese would be left out in the lurch since she loves both girls, but especially with Gabrielle because she too is the baby's mother. Can't she formally adopt Gabrielle as a precaution? I know it is not idea, but in America that is the only way that she can retain any claim to the child.

This reminds me of ER when Sandy dies and her family denies Carrie Weaver access to their baby. Laura Innes acted her heart out as she is forcibly removed from Sandy's home, kicking and screaming for her child.

What if Reese went back to Europe? What are the laws like over there? If Bianca and Reese are married over there, and that is their permanent place of residence, then couldn't Reese be their mother with sole custody over there?

If Bianca put in her will that she wanted Reese to get the kids, then I think Reese would get them; legal arrangement or no.

Please. Bianca will be the oldest living lesbian in television history and her daughters will both grow up to be little mini-Ericas with about 35 husbands between them. 9 of those husbands would be shared. So the thread is moot.
