I didn't know Todd Curtis played the trumpet.

No cue cards? No wonder so many of their young actors struggled early on.

I only saw the episodes where Lizbeth slept with Jordy and Thomas broke up with her. It's kind of sad reading the article knowing what would happen. I didn't know they'd had Thomas try and fail to correct his handicap. That's rare on soaps.

I recognized her by the character name, although at first I thought it was Joanna Going (who wasn't on this show obviously).

I didn't know she was married to Trey on the show. Do you remember her?

That's a very nicely written article. Very sad, too young.

When Leslie Graves died, also too young and of AIDS-related illness, SOD only printed a blurb. It would have been nice if they had cast and crew share thoughts and memories like here.

I guess by then it was seen as passe, or the soap magazines were being dumbed down. I think Weekly printed a nice letter about her, and about Dack Rambo and others from daytime who had died from AIDS.

A very kind Youtube poster had the ads for the 12/19/86 CBS Daytime lineup, and has also uploaded the episodes of that day. This is the first part.

The music for the closing credits is so beautiful.

Yeah, the Italian opening and closing themes were so much sleeker and sexier, I guess because the show was shown in primtime, and well, in Italy. The original themes did feel more political/stately.

I can't remember the last time I saw a Vaseline commercial. Thanks for sharing this Carl! You kinda have to look away and let your eyes roll back into place every few minutes. I wonder if Russell played the actual crash then they switched back to Todd for the first hospital scenes. At least that's how I would have done it. happy.png

Russell Todd Curtis, just got that.
