Members Sylph
Oh, I so agree on this! It will probably be one of those cr*ppy, cliched daytime backstory kind of story. Awful. And then people wonder why people are fleeing from daytime. Monotony.
Members MarkH
I doesn't HAVE to be a cliched backstory. I don't want to see her just go nuts again. I love Phyllis...even when phoning it in lately, she brings a spice to every scene. She seems like a fun lady with a wicked mouth and a penchant for emotional lability. That is what keeps you on your seat edge. Where does that come from? Anyway...I don't think any "Phyllis backstory" plot is intended for a while. We have to get through Michael's backstory first :-). At least it isn't BRAD'S backstory :-).
Members Sylph
But it will be. Why? 1. Because it's a backstory type of story. 2. Because there are no writers in daytime who could pull this off without turning it into a cliche. Maybe Nancy Curlee would pull it off, but she won't return to daytime No, it doesn't keep me on the edge of my seat. I just want her off my screen. Nuisance.
