I don't mind the Newmans. And I like the fact that we're getting more Abbott.

But enough of the Baldwin mess already. Are we really suppose to care about River and Eden? Meh.

Here's to a better week! Last two (with all that Baldwin crap) were pretty boring, but even other stuff hasn't been THAT interesting. So lets all hope this one is better! :D

MAB told the fans that she decided to keep Nia Peeples on the show (there was speculation after he mysterious return in July that she would only stay until September). She said Karen's past will be explored in the following months.

I hope they actually do something with her. She had only one appearance this month.

Well some of us liked seeing the Baldwins after months and months of Newmans. Now I am not talking about the Fishers but Lauren was off for nearly a month so it was good to see her everyday last week. It's not like we have been overwhelmed with Lauren and Michael story these past few years. Everyone deserves some screentime and a story once in awhile.

now you know how some of us old timers felt when they started to show nothing but the Abbotts and TEVN and less and less finally none of the Fosters and the Brooks!!!!

Agreed. But I won't watch a storyline simply for the sake of having a new storyline, if that new storyline is boring. lol Which to me, the Baldwin storyline is. I do love having Tracey Bregman on, but the story is not about her, she's not a key player in it and she's a supporting player in it. So that means little to me. I do watch some scenes with Lauren, but sometimes it's just too boring, so I FF even when she's on.

If they had a couple of episodes of it and then paused for an episode or two, it'd be great. But when the storyline is bad and they keep showing it day after day, it just plain sucks. I don't care if Michael saves River or not and Lauren doesn't seem to have much storyline except propping Eden and River.

They should invest in other characters like that. With a good storyline.

I really wish they'd disbarred or sent Michael to jail instead because River's a new character I cannot have sympathy for because he's been showcased as such a non-polarizing character. I don't hate him. I don't love him. I'm bored with him and his whiny daughter. I would've rather they sent him off to Michigan because then he'd be a catalyst to a real story... whatever that may be.

I really loved the Newmans last week. The writers are taking their sweet time with the resolution of Sabrina's death and I'm loving every stroke of their pens on the page.

I also thought it interesting how they broke the week up in half: Billy/Baldwins/Chloe in the first half and Victor/Baldwins/Jack. I hope they happen to change up the s/ls so that the Baldwins don't appear in every episode. Hopefully the Abbots will be in for the week?

And I have to say, Judith is really playing Gloria with more subtlety than before. I was in the minority as a fan of hers before but now I can honestly say, I love her. I really wish they'd get her away from Jeffrey and her scheming two-dimensional LML past and get her to River, single-mom-scorned present as soon as possible.

I really hate Adam. Disgusting. And I'm glad. I haven't abhorred a character on TV in a long time. Y&R really scored with Engen.

I actually liked Gloria for the first time ever, when she saw Eden for the first time and she confronted River about having a daughter yet leaving her and Michael.

    • Yeah. I wasn't feeling it either. If it was meant to be a chem test, it didn't work. I don't think so. Because I think Neil and Liz moved into that house after Stefano "died", and Neil lived there until he went to go see his patients and never came back

    • Canada aired a repeat today Tues. Nov. 18. So after being a day ahead for the past week, they will now be back in sync with U.S.
    • I was really starting to enjoy it, but after Anspach, Shelton and Keane left, it got a bit blah to watch. Jane Russell was great as Rose, Buddy Ebsen as Toat was interesting as well.  If a second season were in the cards, I would have signed  Karen Carlson on to a contract and cast a couple more women as regulars. The cowboy aspect could continue. Sam Elliott, as always, was fantastic,  The camaraderie between Roy and Quisto was really good as well. Cybill... she was sex on a stick and unapologetic.   Poor Robin Wright barely lasted five minutes, though, before being raped and murdered.
    • I love it that we've gone from daylight to dark -- Luna's even returned to work -- but Steffy is still sitting next to shirtless Finn on the sofa.

    • Is the current DiMera mansion the same mansion Stefano moved into around 1983?  I remember that house was out near a lake, and not far from Doug Williams' night club.  In fact, there was a tunnel connecting Doug's Place to the DiMera mansion.  If it supposed to be the same house, I'm fairly sure it is not the same set.  But I'm aware sometimes soap opera sets change without any explanation
    • Amazing work @slick jones I remember watching and enjoying Yellow Rose but losing interest once they went to self contained episodes, Interestingly that's the opposite of what Dallas, KL and FC did. So maybe YR should have been more episodic at first and then go to a fully fledged serial. But really the timeslot was the problem -Sat @10 was not the spot for a serial. And Rounders turned out to be a poor lead in. Maybe 9-11 Tues following A Team would have helped.
    • LOL!!! He looks like he is reacting as if Luna just passed bad gas or something.
    • Doug Marland came on board shortly before Gloria Monty, I believe. Jackie Smith was in charge of ABC daytime at that point. All of the characters in place were not his creations. Alan was created by Irving and Tex Ellman who wrote the hurricane story a few months before and brought in Alan, Scotty, David Hamilton, Dorrie and Lisa/Lana. His first character was  Bobbie in Jan 78. Apart from wrapping up the Lan/Lisa story he pretty much kept all the stories going just adding new elements.
    • She is 29... she's inching closer, and we know how important age is on soaps.

    • When I saw that look on Will's face, I thought, "Yeah, there's no one on set giving direction to Crew Morrow. There's no one giving notes." His dad Josh was green when he started, but not this green.
