It was cute of Kat to say "I got me to a nunnery" but we'd have to believe Kat actually knew the line "Get thee to a nunnery" from Hamlet for her to say it. I think Kat would only think Hamlet was a kind of breakfast item comprising of eggs.

I'm getting very excited about my idea of Jamie Dornan's character on The Fall being Zoe's long lost twin. I can picture him coming to Walford after slaying Kat and Alfie in Ireland and bumping off the Carters one by one, beginning with Babe and continuing on with (in order) Shirley, Dean, Lee and Mick. I'd have him spare Linda and Nancy, though.

Would the nuns even have suitable anaesthesia at their disposal for a C section? June Whitfield's character said they weren't interested in being midwives.

In all seriousness I'm starting to think the moment DTC found out that Danny Mac was leaving Hollyoaks he and Daran Little put their heads together as to who he could play. Kat's long lost son and Zoe's twin? Bingo!

Someone was asking around for iconic moments for each show, for some British soap thing they're doing. I gave them some of mine, but thought you all might be interested in listing some of yours. (in the appropriate threads I mean)

This is a kids show parody of EE. If it seems long it's because it's 5-6 segments from various episodes.

The guy doing Arthur is great, and they manage to get the tone close enough (especially the "faaaamily" and the overly aggressive male character).

Keep an eye out for who's playing Pauline.

This is great, Carl, thanks for sharing. That's Jacqueline Pirie (Tina Dingle/Linda Sykes) playing Pauline! She's actually Scottish. Got a real affinity for accents, hasn't she? I always thought she could have become a star. I wonder what she's doing nowadays.

Here's how Maddy Hill did living on just under 1£ a day...

Pirie was last seen running a drama school in Canada. Not sure if she still is. I loved her on Corrie. What a waste. Oh well.

Spot the EE actor starting at 2:35.

So Kat and Alfie just won a million pounds. Fabulous. They'll give the nouveau riche a bad name. Sure, reward Alfie with a million quid although less than a year ago he tried to get financial compensation by burning down his residence. A big ol' shark has jumped, ladies and gentlemen.

It's unfortunate that even Kat attempting suicide was all about the Kalfie reunion - it cheapens the whole thing. I really think DTC had no idea what to do with them, especially since the arson story went down like a lead balloon.

I keep hearing people say it's gotten better again but most of what I see is all over the place. Oddly enough it's Ronnie who keeps me relatively interested even though I hated most of her stories the last time around. I still hate her stories, but I'm a little more interested in her.

And of course I am also watching for Carol, but I keep thinking she'll be gone soon.

Do you think anyone out there cares about Tina/Sonia/Martin?

I've hated her for years, but I still don't know why Sonia was every brought back in the first place. Terrible character, and Natalie Cassidy has gotten worse as the years have gone by.

On paper I get why she came back - to shore up the Jacksons/Brannings, to introduce her daughter, to help beef up the Fowlers again with a Martin recast. I just don't know if it's really worked. Rebecca seems superfluous and I don't care for the Martin recast at all.

I also wanted to mention that I still like Denise a lot, but I just hate seeing her amidst the Carter misery.

I agree about Sonia coming back helped a bit to shore up the Jackson/Brannings but I can only take her in small doses.

Denise is great but is being completely wasted. It was a terrible idea to pair her with Ian in the first place. Diane Parrish deserves a love interest with a hell of a lot more charisma and energy than Adam Woodyatt.

I'd like to see Denise get to have a fun relationship (not Fatboy), but they seem so committed to making her miserable and tragic.

Finally watched the commercials, Carl-a much younger Tony Caunter (Roy) is in that C&A commercial! I loved June Whitfield (Sister Ruth) in the first commercial, too. Thanks!
