I will miss Darren, even if he isn't exactly a fantastic character - soaps need those type of goofy supporting figures who sometimes have lead story. If they can't keep him then I wish they could find the guy who played Sam Owen's friend Andy on Hollyoaks. Is she that dumb to actually believe he's actually a nice guy? I hope if they do get together eventually, she'll transform him into a human being again. However, I'm more than ready for Laurie Brett to go on her maternity leave so Ian and Jane can be over officially. And tonight was a huge reason why I despise Big Heather. What a twit. And I still haven't warmed up to the new Ben. I greatly disliked the previous actor as well, but whatever this current one is selling, I'm not buying. Members MichaelGL Posted May 6, 2011 Members Share Posted May 6, 2011 (edited) Yeahhhh nuBen...I keep getting the sense that show wants to do more with his bullying storyline, that perhaps Ben will turn out to be gay, and the guy that is bullying him actually is attracted to him. But I can't tell heads or tails of the story so far. Abi and Jay are a cute couple, I can't believe the show has made me like Jay of all people. My interest with the Ian storyline didn't pique until the end of the show when Jane vowed to fight Ian. Since I started watching back in Sept. 2010, I haven't seen a feisty Jane, so I hope the story stays on its current track, without Jane reverting to her usual weepy self. Paul O'Grady can be a little pushy but he's also able to put his guests at ease. I never knew Charlie Brooks was on a show with Jane Danson.
