The Mitchell's were better when they were exclusively tied to Sharon. It's easy to forget that Phil and Grant were created for her and to give her story, not to consume huge amounts of the show, which they did by the late 90's.

I think the early 90's had a best of both worlds feel for the show. It still had a lot of its 80's grit, but was also more progressive and evolved with the then times.

Sorry for all the clips - I just thought this was the best way for fans to be able to see some glimpses of what made Mandy such a riveting character. It's a shame that the very very hard work of some previous uploaders was undone by stupid policies.

I love that clip with Mandy and Kathy. I had mixed feelings on Kathy, mostly because she became such a miserable person, but I like it when you see some fire in her, as you do in this clip. Revisiting the Donna story was just brilliant and I'm sorry they never did again. I really like how the show used the Mandy character to push buttons. Yet she doesn't seem like a plot device.

You may enjoy this somewhat random clip of your favorite character's first boyfriend, going to be interviewed on BBC Wales.

The actress that plays Mandy really reminds me of Lacey Turner and the character seems quite similar to Stacey. I like the look of her, was she a really big character at the time and quite memorable? Everyone I've told doesn't seem to remember her!

Her voice reminds me a lot of Lacey's, but I would say that Mandy is more similar to Janine in her peak years than Stacey. Though, you could say Stacey also resembled some aspects of Janine as well, at least in her beginning years.

Mandy had a one-night stand with Ricky before she left.

Too bad Sid Owen is taking a break from the show, since Ricky is one of the remaining characters from that era who knew Mandy well enough.

Mandy didn't meet Bianca and Carol, since they debuted permanently in January 1994, which is the same month Mandy left.

And here's Nicola and Sid Owen together again on Bad Girls, at least in the recap scenes in the beginning and 3:06 in:

I didn't think Pat would be getting a love interest again (outside of the "comedy" stuff with Peggy) so I'm looking forward to this, even if it probably will just be short-term. I'm looking forward to seeing what he will be like. With Lydia for a mother he's probably going to be very weak-kneed. I guess this will lead to some war between Janine and Pat.

Jessie and Letitia were both used heavily during the 2001-2005 era, but strangely, I can't recall many scenes between Kat and Sharon.

I know Sharon interacted with the Slater's quite a bit when she returned as owner of the Vic in 2001, as they were the big new family on the show then, but that seemed to calm down a few months after her return.

Anyway, 3:45 in is a scene where Kat visits Sharon on her wedding day to Dennis, and Chrissie later interrupts.

They also interacted when Zoe ran away after the Kat/Zoe reveal as well.

I think it was during Lynne's wedding at the Vic, where Sharon was comforting all of the Slater's.

A lot of the characters that were heavily featured during the 2003-2006 era seemed to be isolated from one another and rarely interacted much.

    • Christian Streaty wrote her second freelance script today on Days. Surprised they gave the first funeral episode to a newbie.
    • And the third thing, which I have no cite for, and I may look to see if one is findable, but supposedly she said that the show had too much gay content in it. And, to be fair, that could be someone making a criticism about balance & not be bigotry but when it's added to the other, that's why it bugs people.

The greatest tv series season finale in history.
    • Mick Savage was sooo unbearable. And more unbearable was the reaction from the female characters to him - they were acting like he is God's gift to women and sooo irresistible. To a point of unbelievable cringe.
    • Today was a short one. Only 33 minutes.  The ‘Part One’ graphic at the beginning was pretty interesting though. I didn’t expect them to do something like that.  I like how everything was focused around John and his family and friends. Again, the acting and the dialogue was very well done and well written. And I love that they were able to incorporate Drake’s, “swing for the fences” phrase into the script. It was nice seeing everyone interact with each other, especially characters who don’t often share scenes together. It felt like every character was part of a big family or community. Plus, an outdoor funeral in June makes a lot more sense than an outdoor funeral in December.  But yeah, it’s very, very strange that Will isn’t at the funeral, especially since we know that

I would much rather he had been there today. And, where’s Anna too? And Jack and Jennifer? What was the point of bringing them all back if they weren’t going to attend the funeral? I expected Steve to want to close down BlackPatch, though I’d rather he just retire and let Paul take it over. But I like that Kayla was there to comfort him. I wonder if he’s going to change his mind at some point.  It was nice seeing Shane again too. Now, he just needs to have more scenes with his son lol but I enjoyed seeing him comfort Marlena. I’m not really sure about his interaction with Cat though? Was it really necessary for this to happen now, at John’s funeral? They could’ve waited a little longer to introduce this story arc.  Btw, was Tate bleeding from his head in his first scene with Arianna?

    • Now this strikes me as funny. I have it up on my acct. The thing is I only have S2. Didn't want either 1 or 3.  Perhaps I should just list all of these that I have up.  Parodies: Dirty Sexy Money, Filthy Rich Incomplete: The Monroes, All That Glitters, Falcon Crest (have all just not all up), Once & Again S2 only Complete: Models Inc, Pasadena, Pacific Palisades, Paper Dolls, Flamingo Road
    • This is wonderful! Thank you for posting this! I loved the first two seasons and never got to see the final season when they cancelled the DVD release. I've been hoping this popped up on streaming but no luck. Happy I'll finally get to see how it ended!
