Thanks @Skylover

Kim is so wonderful. I wish the story was getting more time and that she could return permanently, but I'm just glad she's back, and that Sam has material beyond getting abuse hurled at her.

Yeah, I wish she would return permanently, I guess she doesn't want to? It's a bit of a shame, as I do think the Mitchells misses a female presence since Ronnie, Roxy and Peggy died. I still think they should introduce Courtney Mitchell as a regular character.

I agree. They just have Nicola, who is more like Shirley than a Mitchell (if Shirley wasn't so broken). I know some want Honey to be a Mitchell matriarch but that's never going to happen.

It just makes you remember how much of a huge mistake killing Ronnie & Roxy was.

Courtney coming in has been long overdue. The character is almost 30 now. We missed her entire twenties. So much story there and what she could be coming in. How much like her mum and dad she could be. A real lost opportunity that no showrunner has taken advantage of.

Honey and Nicola don't work for me - I don't find Honey funny, and while Nicola is played by a good actress, I don't like that they made her a murderer. Plus, it would be nice to have a closer female Mitchell relative. They could re-introduce Louise, though I never liked the original, and would prefer she was recast. Courtney would be a better alternative as she doesn't have a kid like Louise, so she's a blank slate. I don't really get the rationale behind introducing more relatives for Billy, when Billy is a spent character. Harry has turned out quite good, but they could put him more in Phil's orbit and write the rest of the family out. I hope they don't bring Ben back again, or I hope they recast him. I could never get behind Max Bowden's version. I don't get why soaps are so messy structurally when it comes to the families, I'd have thought these things seem like common sense. I'm glad they've rebuilt some of the families in the last 5 years though, like by bringing back Peter, Chelsea, Lauren etc.

Agree, I hope Sam can fill the void. I don't know if it's Kim's choice not to be a regular, or the show's, but it's a shame she won't stick around. I guess they could always recast but I'd prefer they didn't. Might as well introduce Courtney as a new frontrunner female Mitchell character, would also be interesting to see a female Mitchell who isn't blonde, as Courtney takes more after Tiffany.
