June 12, 200817 yr Member But a mother saying her teenage daughter was "making love" is a major screw up. I can't believe the script editor didn't catch that. As brimike said, it wasn't realistic and didn't fit with the overall story. i disagree here. whatw as she suposed to say 'you are an idiot for being a whore!' lol... it happened, its done, it cant be changed, and with everything going on with todd being a crazy almost murder again i can see blair being 100% supportive and not judging at all. not to say a scene with addie or evern langston or someone where she breaks down and does the omg my baby is having a baby isnt needed, but then again there *are* parents out there who would be ok with it.
June 12, 200817 yr Member It's the conversation I've been waiting for ever since Blair found out. Yes, as a mother, when your child is in the hospital, after her father threw her down the stairs, you want to comfort her. All you care about is her safety and her baby's safety. Nothing else matters. But then a few weeks pass. And Blair has to be struggling with this. Dealing with questions. Dealing with her own anger at the situation. If not with Starr, she should have those scenes with SOMEBODY. I'm missing BLair's POV in all of this. i agree with someoine, but not starr. Blair doesnt want to come down on starr, judge her, make her feel horrid. she is being a supprtive mother and trying to make sure starr makes the chocie she wants to make. and it isnt like everything has calmed down again - todd is still a dangerous psychopath on the lose.

That's not the point, which mother of a teenager considers it "making love" when their teenager is having sex? It's not a realistic reaction and poor choice of words. Regardless of the situation with Todd. I should add, it seemed that Blair got over her shock within one day of her finding out Starr was pregnant. They better have her explode fast. June 12, 200817 yr Administrator I should add, it seemed that Blair got over her shock within one day of her finding out Starr was pregnant. They better have her explode fast. Maybe Ron wanted to show contrast? One is the concerned parent and the other will explode? If Blair goes off on Starr and then Todd goes off on Starr, Todd's reaction won't have the same *punch* because we would've already seen it. BTW, does Nelson B's column have any spoilers? I'm afraid to read it because I know he sometimes has spoilers in his columns.

There's a number of reasons Blair is overdo for a severe meltdown. Starr, her battling with Todd, and living in Dorian's house with the mess that impacting the Cramer side of her family. If anyone's allowed to lose it right now, it's Blair. It's surprising she's kept it together as well as she has.
June 12, 200817 yr Member It looks as if Andrea Evans has lost a bit of weight--it's hard to tell when she's decked in black. In just 30 seconds, she made an impression. I don't think I'm going to enjoy the Marty storyline. It seems like a tangled mess but I've always believed that every storyline can't please everyone all of the time. There's other storylines going on that I really enjoy so it's easy to tune out those days/segments when something is going on that I don't care about.
June 12, 200817 yr Member I'd like a scene where Blair just lets loose and releases all of her aggression, one where we see the hurt, anger, and pain she's going through. It could be with someone else or by herself. Maybe that's to come in the future, but I still think she'd kept it together a little too well.
June 12, 200817 yr Member BTW, does Nelson B's column have any spoilers? I'm afraid to read it because I know he sometimes has spoilers in his columns. Nope.

As brimike said, it wasn't realistic and didn't fit with the overall story. How often do you ever hear someone on soaps say they or someone had sex? Its always made love. I dont find people even using that term much in real life for any situation but on soaps its almost always used
June 12, 200817 yr Member How do I say this without spoiling anything for anyone? (...thinks for a moment...) Nope, can't, lol. Let's just say...I don't think that Mitch will turn out to be Rex's biological father...and that RC is actually foreshadowing who is his father...but to understand what I mean requires taking a look at another, "forbidden" thread on this board, and I'm not going to advise anyone to do so under penalty of Toups. (Hope I haven't said too much?) I'm very excited for this now. *tries to stay spoiler free*
June 12, 200817 yr Member Loved the show today! I only wonder why they saved both Marty's & Tina's returns until the last segment instead of spreading them out a little more thru this episode or across 2 episodes. I realize their stories will intersect tomorrow, I'm just sayin Can't wait to find out who Blair's and Rex's fathers are (is?). I thought the story of the original Blair was that her father was an attendant at a sanitarium who raped Addie? More Tina, please!
June 12, 200817 yr Member I thought the story of the original Blair was that her father was an attendant at a sanitarium who raped Addie? Has OLTL ever addressed the issue of Blair's father?
June 12, 200817 yr Member Has OLTL ever addressed the issue of Blair's father? Huh. I thought he was the Chinese gardener (hence why they cast Mia Korf) and it was the rape that caused Addie to be committed in the first place.
June 12, 200817 yr Member Has OLTL ever addressed the issue of Blair's father? I don't believe they have. Does Blair even know that she's the product of rape? Cause I always thought she knew, and that why she hated Dorian when she first came to town.
