Man, I loved Tad and Dixie but all that promo made me think is: Dixie is the stupid bit who gave her daughter up for adoption for asinine reasons and Tad is the man who buried a man to death. The only way to fix Tad and Dixie is to bring her back alive, re-write her actions because they were stupid, and explain his. Otherwise they're just shells of their former selves. At this point I don't want Tad near any child, let alone Kathy.

I don't like Tad and Dixie, but great post! No rewriting of actions though, that's a big problem with this show, characters are getting away with murder and whatnot and are written into corners and they think just a flick of the pen will make it ALL go away.

Both characters need to own their actions

I agree, don't want Tad near any child, especially Kate, she's better off with Julia, a woman who loves her. Right now Tad uses Jenny to punish Adam, hard to tell what he'll use Kathy for

My first thought went to how much Dixie didn't want him for the first 10 months of her 2006 return. That was just so bad, there was barely a sign of a deep, soulmate love there until the last month or two of that return. You have something really good and instead of building on it - you beat it to a pulp. Ugh. Tad and Dixie are my first soap couple and I'll always have a soft spot for them so even though it's hard to forget 2006, I know I'll still love the scenes. Alive or not, they wouldn't and maybe couldn't have done a good job explaining those 2006 actions away - all they can do is repair the memory, damage, connection. Repair like they started to do in the month or two before the spiteful death; repair like they will do in the next few weeks.

The murder thing is so out of the park, I don't know how to confront it - all I know is I'd like Tad to stop acting so self-righteous over Adam after burying alive a man not once but twice.

Wasn't Megan McTavish great for this show? B)

For the most part, she was. We had some great stories under her

*Okay I am running to avoid the backlash of this comment!
