Orlaigh Cassidy and Carolyn Hennesy would be perfection on a crime drama primetime show.

Ali Sweeney, IMHO, is the most underrated actress in daytime. She is amazing and always brings her a game. she would shine in a smart adult comedy like Samantha Who

agreed!

primetime has uber crappy actors too (katherine heigl for example).

mauzy is awful though. daytime confidential's mike (i think that's his name) discussed how b&b once had the best younger actress in jennifer finnigan. mauzy isn't even in the same league.

    • Martin and Smitty's place - coming home from the store with arms full of groceries, and we see Tide in one.  Then the show pauses.  Cut to commercial - and the commercial starts with random family coming home with groceries including Tide.
    • Makes sense.  I was thinking Kate might have started on the board when Victor was in a coma and just continued to be on it. I know there was a Toscano foundation for Isabella, so you would assume John and Victor were on the board and perhaps let Brady take over?  I can't remember if Stefano/Andre/Tony were ever interested in the hospital, but I would bet they were at some point. I don't know why EJ thinks Brady OR Kate would vote in his favor, especially after he threatened Kate and her sons.
    • Exactly! All of this. And the writers even found a plausible reason for him to move away from it. Unlike some soaps. Same. They hit a goldmine with a young rivalry off the bat.
    • Does Hayley ever leave Bill's side? She's gonna smother that man.

    • I just realized, we've already seen Maurice's Ted last day yesterday, since he isn't on today's episode. I don't even remember who he had his last scene with - was it Eva?
    • Hilarious to hear Vernon singing badly.  And we know Clifton Davis in real life is a singer, so he had to do some acting to sing that badly!
    • I like Martin being the middleman. Hope they continue to show him in light and carefree scenes. C'mon, for Kleenex making their debut.
    • Wonderful episode, Oct 28, 1985, just posted on Youtube notable for a few things: I believe this is Scott McKinsey's first daytime soap director debut; IMDB shows he started directing GL in Dec 85.  The prior episode 10/25 was directed by John Zak who had been in LA directing Santa Barbara Introduction of Domini Blythe as Estelle - the best thing about the show in it's final 15 months. Lloyd Battista (Ray from Love of Life) plays Rivera. Viggo Mortensen acting debut as a thug/informant. I watched SFT during the final few years and Gary Tomlin started off strong, turning around Paul Avila Mayer's disastrous six months as head writer.

    • Same - it doesn't bother me when it's there, but does bother me when written into dialogue or takes away from emotional/important scenes. Same!  Love Kat vs. Eva.  I love a catty little relationship that eventually, slowly turns into some kind of acceptance/love for each other.
