This is the FIRST time EVER that I've enjoyed watching Adriana, so I hope they keep it up.

Natalie jealous over that kiss. Rex jealous over that kiss. Great soapy story. Although I can do without the bitchy Layla, thats the only thing that doesn't belong in this storyline.

I, of course loved the Viki/Charlie stuff toward the end, finally got something that made me FEEL them once again as a couple. It just wasn't there the last couple of weeks, so its nice to have that back. But I sure wish Charlie would come clean with Viki, so they can go from there.

Don't like the Talia/John stuff at all, I feel bad for Antonio.

Still not feeling all this Starr/Cole stuff.

Adriana was a total bitch today and I loved it. But I agree with you guys dorian needs to put her in check, Adriana can be a bitch to anyone else but not her own mom. An can they please give layla something to do, its really sad that shes just adriana's Gigi spy. Poor Gigi, with adriana sicing dorian on her she isn't gonna have a moments rest.

^^^^^ what is so great about Dorian helping Adriana, is that is SO going to backfire!! Please, Dorian doing everything to help her daughter marry Rex??? Bwah, yeah right! lol

Dorian to Adriana: "Are you worried about that girl GeeeGeee who calls herself Gigi" Robin Strasser is so great in her role!!

I loved Gigi vs. Layla, I am happy Gigi stood up to her and called her out about running to Adriana. The person Adriana needs to be worried about is Rex, not Gigi.

Finally we got some Viki/Charlie scenes, loved the dialogue between them and the looks they gave one another.

Jared and Nat banter was fun also.

Jared: "You make it sound like kissing me is torture." "I don't know what the big deal is"

Natalie: "you wouldn't"

These two are gonna be HOT when the truth comes out!

Marcie, eating, eating, eating.....could the show be hinting she is pregnant??

Did not care for Antonio's attitude towards Talia but at the same time I am sure it is difficult for him to trust after what Jessica did to him.

Ugh. Starr sucks. Completely sucks. She's a little girl, she never grows up, and she's just as ridiculous and childish as ever. Somebody please put her out of her misery.

Layla is pathetic, she did exactly what Gigi told her she was gonna do.

I'm with everyone else, Dorian should have kicked Adriana's ass to kingdom come. Rex annoyed the crap out of me today too, with the whole "He came on to her, he's her boss, it's wrong" thing. I think he's been Mr. Good Guy for just a little bit too long and it's getting to his head. And I know that it's probably the doing of the new writers, but Roxy hasn't been around lately. Could it be that since Rex has this great new father, he's sweeping his trashy mother under the rug?

My Jason rolly doesn't fit as a response to what I said FYI....

You don't even watch OLTL, so to say that the show sucks doesn't really matter to me. If you actually watched the show and looked at it objectively, I might actually get into a discussion with you about the show.

On it's worse day, OLTL is still better than ATWT.

There was a lapse for perhaps a week or 10 days when OLTL lost its suspense. For months, it definitely lacked the subtle humor that the current writers have deliciously entwined into the script . But it's definitely back in stride and hopefully other soaps will follow suit combining the hijinks-y soapy elements (both dramatic and comedic) with the human element.

I don't think I can say there's another soap around that I thoroughly enjoy despite the fact that it contains the most atrocious actress on daytime (talent-wise and character-wise): Kristen Alderson. And she's starring in a main storyline!

Any group of writers that can make bad actors bearable are remarkable. ATWT has more than a handful of award-winning actors and it doesn't have a 1/4 of the magic OLTL has.

    • No. Ruth had an extramarital affair with David while married to Joe.
    • I'm not sure I agree with Bernstein's children on that. Bernstein's life and activism here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leonard_Bernstein#Social_activism_and_humanitarian_efforts
    • Thursday & Friday's episodes were excellent. The build-up was most definitely worth the wait (2 months). TMG, I can't give her enough accolades. AM, was also absolutely incredible. I think the fallout is going to have a ripple effect. The little clues that have been dropped,  hopefully, will weave seamlessly to reveal even bigger bombshells for the Dupree's and Martin.
    • Thanks, msn drives me nuts on the one hand but on the other hand their headlines appeal to me. And, I just don't do FoxNews.
    • The link doesn't work.  The actual link is this: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/composer-leonard-bernstein-s-children-request-his-music-be-played-in-the-kennedy-center-in-rebuke-to-trump/ar-AA1E7gw5 That's a reprint of a FoxNews article. MSN reprints stuff from many sources. You can tell the source from the logo above the headline on the msn page. The FoxNews article is describing what Leonard Bernstein's children wrote -- as a "letter to the editor" of the New York Times. Instead of reading it filtered through FoxNews, here is the original: "Our Dad, Leonard Bernstein, Would Want His Music Played at the Kennedy Center" https://www.nytimes.com/2025/05/02/opinion/kennedy-center-leonard-bernstein-protest.html Non-paywall archived copy of the same NYTimes letter, without commentary: https://archive.is/QaLqD
    • Might be a long shot, because I can't find a thing online about it, but I was Googling the actress that played Nell Cleary (Frank's cop friend that went through academy and then became cops together during the entire Brent Lawrence storyline). To my surprise, she passed away in 2011, at the very young age of 45. I can't find her obituary or anything online about her passing, but I'm curious, does anyone know what happened? Her IMDB only shows a few other acting gigs post-Guiding Light, so she didn't make a career out of it, but I thought she was a great actress in her role as Cleary. Her name was Mary Peterson.
    • What was Ruth Martin's association to the Thornton family?  I only remember the daughter that dated Tad, and she had a buxom mother.  But, did Ruth date David Thorton before Joe?

Why didn't Steve respect Monica and Jeff's decision?  I get he's Jeff's father, and that's how it came out, but I don't like the ethics of the story. A stranger gets to make life or death decisions over a wife's demands?   I hope Monica secretly never forgave Steve's chauvinism.
    • Question: Jon-Michael Reed's review of 1977 is up in the retro soap section.  It includes a fleeting reference to comedic scenes between Jeanne Cooper and Julianna McCarthy regarding “Kay's would-be beau, Ralph the Plumber”.  Could someone please fill me in will more details? I forgot that Kay and Liz were friendly before Jill stole Kay's husband.  And the thought of Liz playing a comedic scene blows my mind, because I only recall her being dour both in demeanor and wardrobe.
    • I said this on Twitter on Friday when Leslie mentioned Chicago, so perhaps she might be related to one of Anita's bandmates. In addition, Leslie did say she grew up listening to The Articulettes too.
