Members MTSRocks
Copy and posted from what poster Allan on "The Envelope" said, replied to Strasser. The latest Robin's hotline has some great insight from Robin. She said that while her relationship with Frank Valentini is far superior to that of any other EP, she believes the character of Dorian has become so dismantled that it's barely recognizable anymore. She said she discovered that while watching tapes to choose for her Emmy submissions and that she's not even a supporting actress on the show, much less a lead. In a way, I can see where she is coming from. I do think that RC has done a good job in giving Dorian her groove back so to speak. I think TPTB should further explore the Dorian/Nora rivalry, because Smith and Strasser are sublime together.
Members Vee
I'd be very surprised to hear that Robin feels that way about Dorian today - I think she must have meant most of 2007 under Dena Higley. Because Dorian today is the brilliant, layered schemer she was at her height.
Members daysfan
Yeah, I think she probably meant the Dena Higley era because Ron and Gary write Dorian great. In fact I have heard Robin hated Dena's time on OLTL, and understandably so.
Members rhythmchyc
ITA with everyone! I just saw last week's recap on soapnet yesterday afternoon and laughed aloud for the first time watching a soap opera in months! Especially at the "blend in" line. Genius! Love how Dorian's up to her devious ways with Adriana, again. I mean, how could Dorian accept Rex last year, after she went so far to sic a stalker on her own daughter? That made no sense. So glad she's doing it again!! And the final scene on Friday when Blair sees Cole! I thought that was even more suspenseful than if Todd found him because it means ish for not only Cole but for Blair too! We all know she won't tell Todd he's in there. I did feel like smacking Cole into a corner or pushing him back out into the backyard the whole time he just stood there like his feet were glued to the carpet. But that's why this show is so good. It has me yelling at these fictitious characters to get the hell out of dodge like I know them!
