I disagree. I think Jon is great. he isnt OTT and he doesnt diva up a scene and try to own it. He just slips into Holdon and the lines come out and he is great. He is so subtle and laid back most of the time, but when he needs to he brings holdon up to a certin level without ever going OTT.

tho i do think he belongs in supporting.

I know many people like him. But I don't know, I think it's something about his voice and facial expression that bugs me. He just deliver his lines in a monotonous kind of way, and there's often just one facial expression... blank... hardly no feelings. Well, except when he's supposed to be angry, then there's a change (thank God).

I also don't really get all the excitement about Van Hansis. It doesn't seem real when he's acting and it's mostly in scenes with Jake Silbermann which is odd since people are so overexcited about them. I want to like him so bad, but I just don't see what's so great about him.

You know I love you Jack, but you have to admit that this is funny. John Hensley "diva-ing" a scene! I'm not a Perez Hilton fan, but I do laugh whn he calls one of the Kardashians a HE. Sorry- my dry sense of humor is kcking in this morning. :)

i understand.

i dont know tho, like i see what you are saying, but i think i like JH because thats kinda who holden is to me. besides, he does the aubtle almost feelingless thing but still cares better than anyone else on daytime (Drake H, Steve B, etc... tho there char;s are not suposed to feel anything, i feel like holden is kinda numb from all the drama that skank lily brings into his life...)

I get what you're saying and I guess it makes sense. It just comes out boring to me as a viewer.

Btw. If him acting this way is on purpose then all of the actors/actresses should act the same way since their characters have all been through what most people don't experience during... three, four, five life times.

I think it was for the way Holden handled Luke's coming out. I agree--that was handled wonderfully. If Nelson wants to acknowledge it, more power to him. It's his column, he can do whatever he wants. I don't necessarily disagree with his choices, (except anything that praises B&B, it stunk last year) but I find the self-congratulatory way he's promoted what amounts to his opinion overbearing.

Call it "your best of the best" and call it a day. I still think he's a hack.

I'd be the first one to rant about that if it were blatantly offensive, but what did people of color get to do on soaps last year besides prop the white characters? As for Jon Hensley, his technique is so subtle that he blends into the sets at times. On the occasions that his emotions come through, it's shocking how little they register on his face otherwise.
