I loved the Jesse/Tad scenes and the Jesse/Angie preview for tomorrow looks good even though I couldn't help think of Cliff & Nina's train station remote on Martha's Vineyard circa 1986.

I always enjoy the Erica/Kendall scenes. The rest of the Campbell's Soup fashion show stuff was boring so far.

Adam & JR are back at square one. It would have been nice for JR to have drawn out knowing that the ring was bugged for a while instead of just telling Adam he knows the truth. This JR/Babe/Richie triangle sucks because NuBabe is so is lifeless.

The 40 Year Old Ryan

So now Ryan is 40 years old and instead of saying who the real person is that has ruined his life, he now goes after Zach to say that it was all about him that ruined it. Well sheesh it was not his fault that his ex lover was a few corn flakes short of a cereal bowl. She just wanted to hit someone who was the same way so she got Ryan instead. How interesting that Ryan thinks he should just control other people's actions and not his own. Gosh I guess if my jilted ex fiance comes to town harboring a gun ready to shoot it off like an Elmer Fudd wannabe and it hits someone, I am to blame for not putting a cap (no pun intended) on that thing. Well slap me silly and call me Willy but this is not something that makes sense...but in Ryan's world, anything that makes not one iota of sense for regular day people is what would make sense for him. He still is under the belief that it snows during the Summer season in the United States as well as believing that it is never his fault over anything. I am shocked that Ryan has not thrown it into Zach's face that he played HIGH HO Hero and saved Kendall's life....lord knows he loves bragging about being a wannabe Superman or Batman combined with his good ole utility belt and superhero strength but not Ryan. Hmm maybe he is starting to realize that he cannot win any brownie points anymore based upon this kind of crap. Well oh well's hells bells but again it is not Zach's fault about what took place with Ryan. He chose to risk his life to save Kendall and ended up getting hurt. Zach cannnot control her action, Dynamite Moron.

Tomorrow does look fairly good, mostly cause of J&A

LMAO what's funny? Last years Valentine's episode of AMC written by Beall of all people was freaking great and this years pretty much sucked.

Someone tell me again why KWAK has to be in this storyline? Julia would make more sense to be Angie's friend since she lost her husband to violence the way Angie *thinks she* did

I loved last year's Valentine's Day episode with the children making valentine's to send up to their loved ones in Heaven. It was just a tender and sweet episode...this year's lacked what last year's had and that is a family bond, wonderful character interaction

But today's episode was still good to me

even if that were true, it doesnt explain why they havent shown those two together. They live in the same home as Ryan hasnt moved out. Its been about a week now. We have absolutely no idea what their relationship is like and how he and Annie have explained and/or handled things with Emma. Thats kind of a big missing part of the story considering Emma was what originally connected them together

If Erica's looks could kill aiden would be dead meat.lol Loved erica/kendall today. An I agree with the rest of you guys this valentine's episode sucked. Do they really think kendalls pregancy scare is romantic? They could of saved plot for tomorrow or another time. They should of reunited Angie and jesse today instead of sort of tomorrow.

    • Hmmm... I don't know if I agree the show has been doing this with Sonny since the mid-90's.  He was more anti-hero than hero back then and had a whole lot of baggage.  He also had some very decent qualities. This was long before his bipolar diagnosis.   I have said this so many times on this board, but the true ending for the Sonny character was leaving Brenda at the altar.  Not because I wanted that or anything.  I was upset for days and might still be 25 years later.  It was just Sonny finally doing something very unselfish and leaving Brenda for her own good and well-being.  The family and life he craved he realized he couldn't achieve because of the business.  That to me was the end of Sonny's arc. It's unfortunate MB didn't make it primetime and came back a year later lol.
    • I shouldn't write like an authority, which I do too often. It's how I feel but I respect that others did appreciate the writing last year with Sonny.
    • What are the additional surprises that Leslie has up her sleeve?
    • And that's the power of William J. Bell and his co-executive producers. Truth be told, I know people have heralded the return of Edward J. Scott last year (and yes, his return helped tighten up the visual look of production under the present regime as senior producer); however, I always felt like David Shaughnessy's vision (especially as a director) was stronger for Y&R. His Y&R had a darker, richer look that I feel like Scott never had, especially in the high-definition era.
    • That would be key; I know they have a "Tribeca" set that's active at the moment, so they could easily use the exterior of that set and then create "indoor" sets on the next set budget. I think that'd be a key idea. I love the community lots we presently have, although there is always room for more.

Like, you cannot tell me that cannot be some kind of shopfront. Or even a salon front Serenity Beauty & Hair?
    • They really did; I know the transition wasn't as beautiful as many thought it should have been, but at least with Mulcahey at the helm, I felt like there was going to be resolve at some point... even if we didn't know what it was at the time. Seeing everyone turn against Sonny, except for Ava (with her mysteriously nefarious reasons), was beautiful to see. Plus, Mulcahey swiftly fixed Alexis' law license issue that had dragged on far too long. Again, was it perfect? No. But did I get a sense that Mulcahey, if given a true chance, could have done some effective changes? Yes. Very glad to know I am not alone in this, and yes, Harper's chemistry with Sawandi Wilson's Isaiah has been lovely. But it seems like every time there is a viable match, TPTB nix it before it can truly begin.
    • Reading all the theories here and on twitter.  Someone wondered if June is connected to Leslie? So now we have June possibly connected to Hayley, to Samantha&Tyrell, or to Leslie. I love that we don't know! To be honest, the first time she aired, I didn't think June was connected to any major character.  I thought she was simply a client who might prove to have an interesting backstory as part of the "have-nots".   But then June dropped the photograph, so that has to be an anvil or mean something.
    • Thanks for the factoid, that's so interesting! (The character, though, was not, LOL. Ridiculous storyline). You know what? Even though he was a core family member, I think you are right. I would much rather they had kept Alan Michael on the canvas to represent the second Spaulding generation. (Of course, they would have had to write some good stories for the character, which, who knows if they would/could have). Reva, yes, I agree. Her shelf life expired when she drove that car off the bridge. The ever increasing desperation to keep her character relevant after she came back was very difficult to watch.
    • I don't suppose you have that August 4, 1995 episode @soapfan770 has with Hope throwing Nikki out of The Newman Ranch?
    • I have taken extremely long breaks from the show because of Sonny and I didn’t watch in the 90’s so I didn’t realize this was a crutch the show used all the time. Hell even though Maurice hates it, it was the most I could tolerate Sonny because he was written as the ass.hole he actually is at his core. His meds working again don’t erase all the characters I’ve either liked or accepted that I had to watch he and Jason murder and somehow come out as the good guys.
