I just love the part with Amanda Baker in that commercial...she doesn't even know Rebecca and yet she's all happy that she's returning.

I hate their stunts, but I love the actress. I'll tune in for the actress, not the storyline per se. I'd rather crazy glue my eye lids than sit through an hour of GH these days, it was pure torture catching the show today.

Exactly.

Honestly, if I have to go through an episode, I just fast forward, and play with the sound off.

Takes about 2 minutes to find what I want, then I'm done.

It's much more entertaining that way.

But, I'll actually play it with sound (only Sarah's part) when Sarah comes on.

Eleven months. Her last episode was Monday, Dec. 28, 1981, and then she came back Wednesday, Dec. 1, 1982. I don't know if it played a role in her departure or absence, but Jackie's husband, DJ Murray "the K" Kaufman, died of cancer on Feb. 21, 1982.

Um, is it true that Santa Barbara is much better remembered today than Capitol is? Santa Barbara had the Cruz and Eden characters, after all. It also had Robin Wright as a regular cast member for several years. Capitol admittedly did better in the seasonal Nielsen ratings in the United States than Santa Barbara ever did, but did Capitol receive any Emmy nominations for writing or acting?

They've pretty much been vague about it until now. I can see how some fans might think that this was all unnecessary, but I didn't mind it. Like I said before, mostly because Hope's been completely cleared.

Agree completely. Frank V has faults and flaws, but credit where credit is due: no one comes close to what he does on GH. I'm consistently amazed at what we see and the Port Charles an beyond world he creates. I hate to be negative, but he really does make the other soaps look even worse by comparison.
"Stage play-ish" is a great way to put it. It's embarrassing, and not just to those of us who remember what it looked like years ago. It's just so cramped and flat, and adding an apparent hallway doesn't open it up at all.

I didn't even know that Stefano was alive yet again...I vaguely remember hints from when I last regularly viewed, but I can't remember if it was ever confirmed off the top of my head...until this week's promo. So it seems they did take that approach of him alive and off-screen.

I do like with that mind, they are giving some form of closure to him to move on to the next generation. I know there are plenty of them on canvas.

There’s a scene circa 1995 where Marj’s Alex barges into the yacht to do one of her shrewish yammerings about Alan to the point where A-M literally covers his ears and starts making unintelligible sounds just to get her to stop talking. There’s obviously a character dynamic shift but even at his most irritated/pissed off you can’t imagine AM doing that to Bev’s Alex (or Rick making that acting choice). I hadn’t seen any of Bev’s Alex when I first watched and the entire tone of the show is so different.
When Holly completely loses it over Blake/Ross and is breaking down/lashing out for awhile Maureen plays it pretty big but it’s effective because Holly’s not generally over the top. By 1995 you feel like most characters would go on a 5 minute table clearing rant if they ran out of ketchup.
