I guess she learned something new about her friend. But I do agree that the woman who sent it probably thought it was funny and didn't realize the potential for it backfiring. It's sort of like when that golfer suggested that Tiger Woods would want fried chicken for dinner when he won that tournament. Some people are good about laughing that sort of thing off and I think it's good to have a sense of humor about some things but at the same time, you can let someone know when they've crossed the line.

MSNBC is running that robocall in the ground. If you want to hear and see something mind boggling try to catch Rep Michelle Bachaman at the beginning of Chris Matthew's show when it re-airs at the beginning of the hour. She said that the media should investigate the Democrats in the House to determine if they're un-American.

I've never heard of Bojangles. I think the major fried chicken chains out here are KFC, Popeye's, and Church's. There's also Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles in Hollywood over by the CBS Studios. I don't know if Kenny Rogers' specialty is chicken or if it's ribs.

Look's like Chuck Todd has one of those big tables but I don't think it's a Surface. Does Crist even like McCain now or is he going to take another trip to Disneyworld instead of campaigning for him?

Bojangles is a regional chain. It's mostly in the South (but not here in FL). I first came across them when I was in the military stationed in South Carolina. Really, really good chicken!

Crist is still firmly in the McCain camp, no doubt. He's just not kissing his ass like he was when he thought he had a shot at the VP slot.

Chris Matthews played it at least twice and David Gregory played it at the beginning of his show.

David Gregory seemed to lump it all into politics and doesn't distinguish anything. He did ask whether the Ayers' strategy would work and he had one Republican on....Stephen Hayes...who said that the method was poor. He said robocalls tend to turn people off and the problem is that there is no narrative that goes along with Ayers. He thinks, and I agree in principle, that if they were trying to make the issue about Obama's judgment that they should have also used other examples to demonstrate poor judgment but Ayers by itself really does nothing.

I think David Gregory tried his best to help McCain by asking Tom Daschle for an example of Obama standing up to his party. Daschle did some little song and dance routine but he at least somewhat got the point across that standing up isn't a real concern if people agree on certain issues. Anyway, my thing is that it's akin to the Republicans making people think liberal is a dirty word and now apparently stands for un-American. If you allow people to make you feel a certain way then it's an issue. Standing up against your party doesn't mean squat unless you're standing up against them over a bad policy. McCain doesn't make that distinction when he says it and that's part of why I said before in this thread that bi-partisanship means nothing to me by itself. I don't care if someone crosses party lines over insignificant issues but I'm not the one that get impressed by buzz words.

Chris Matthews got rattled by Rep Michelle Bachman. Minnesotans need to get rid of her because she's way too special to be in public office. First she's blaming minorities for the economic crisis and now she's questioning who's pro-American. She's been sipping too much of whatever it is they drink at that place those special people go to. She's on at the beginning of his show trying to scare people over Barack Obama......of course....she's very scary herself.

It sounds like McCain needs a little bit of help in some of the states that he should already have locked in. He could try scaring people from Obama using this Boybama video instead of the Ayers' tactic since I'm reconsidering my vote now....

He should have asked her if that AIP leader was anti-American. You've got her and you've got Palin going around suggesting that some parts of the country are pro-American. If Jeremiah Wright really hated America, he wouldn't be living in America and he wouldn't have gone into the Armed Forces. I guess any evangelical that suggested that parts of this country were destroyed or should be destroyed for some "Biblical" reason are pro-America and whatever else.

Later on there was Pat Buchanan equating the KKK with Ayers in that they are both terrorists and rejecting Chris Matthews' position that they were terrorist with different intent in terms of rehabilitation. I think if the Republicans are so distressed by Ayers then they should put all that energy into having him locked away for the good of the nation....but they seem to be okay with him in the country.

Witness this thread. All conservative voices have abandoned it because of dissent with their views. If others don't subscribe to their views, they won't debate the issues, they will just leave and in this case, claiming that the left is "intolerant". GMAMFB.

KO is reporting that the Chicago Tribute has endorsed Obama. Evidently, the paper is notoriously Republican so this is a big deal. It appears that the paper said that McCain's choice of Palin was a deal-breaker and that's why they opted to endorse Obama.

By the way, Bojangles is pretty good, but I'm a KFC person myself. Well, I was until I saw a Peta documentary on what KFC does do those chickens. I guess killing them is bad enough but making the suffer prior to being killed. urrp. But yeah, I do hold my nose and enjoy KFC.
