Jess, if he suspended his campaign.....why did none of his offices close, and why were his ads still running?

I know, he said he suspended his campaign. That is different than actually suspending it.

Dude, just stop arguing about it.

There is no way you are going to get some to believe what happened, especially when they are confronted with facts.

What facts?

Do you not feel that the hatred of Jews and wishing to kill them is similar to the Holocaust?

I now clearly understand your position on the Iranian hatred of Jews being nothing like the Holocaust. You have brought up great points in pointing out that there are by no means similar in any way!

IA, I now see no connection between Hitler killing Jews and Ahmadinejad wanting to..You have swayed me into seeing the error of Palin's ways.

I'm baffled about her comments too! Why did she mention the Holocaust? Ahmadinejad loves Israel! Wanting to see the death of Israel and its Jewish inhabitants is nothing like the Holocaust.

I'm the idiot..for ever thinking otherwise.

I was being respectful towards you even when I thought you were being presumptuous about GGL's meaning.

I don't know why calling myself an idiot should elicit this type of response because it sounds as if I had called you an idiot.

Maybe I'm an idiot for not seeing things your way and even that doesn't merit the response you've given.

I'll just let this go because I don't have any interest at all in wasting my time on the brilliance of Palin......

OH! I see. If McCain says it......it makes it the truth.

Thanks fort clearing that up. :D

1. Glad you agree that McCain is a liar. It's about time. :D

2. He was dodging the debate. That is my opinion, whether you agree or not. Good thing I don't care.

3. So what you are NOW saying is that anything that is reported that you don't agree with is wrong. Thanks for clearing that up. Didn't know you had such a low opinion of the Forth Estate.

Remeber that the next time you post an article.

:lol::lol::lol:

Thanks Wales. I apologize for being presumptuous...

Let me correct and rephrase..

Greg, why did you react the way you did? Do you not agree that we should side with Israel if Iran attacks them?

Go back one page to see my last post. It got buried a little while others were posting.

You have an uncanny knack for spin, do you know that? Is McCain's campaign aware of this, because they are really missing out if they don't recruit you like, now.

Let me explain.

Yes, the Holocaust was the killing of Jews, Casey, but it was so much more than that. There were millions of people killed that weren't Jews. They were POWs, Gypsies, Homosexuals, Slavics, ethnic Poles, etc. I know you have to realize that it was systemic and took years of degradation, humiliation and abuse before these people were killed. They were locked up and tortured.

Why would someone use this as an example of Israel defending itself? I understand the Jews were the primary target of the Nazis and in the concentration camps, but this is just .... I don't know.

IMHO, if she was talking about Iran (and she never mentioned them in the context of this question), it's like comparing apples to oranges. Take that however you want. I just thought the comparison was very inappropriate and she could have answered the question without using the Holocaust as an example.

Obama's participation is not relevant, you are right. The comments of the potential President of the United States, during the meeting covering the largest financial crisis in 80 years, is of no relevance because he didn't suspend his campaign.

No, and neither did McCain.

Did Obama attend?

Obama was there to get his picture taken too? You honestly believe that neither candidate (both potentially being the next president) had NO meaningful input in the meeting. You feel our next president was there just to get a picture taken?

For someone that shows the effort and passion to participate in a political discussion, you sound more like uneducated Joe Blow (that is not even going to vote) by making a comment like that..Very cynical and presumptious, I might add...

Thanks Casey. I am all that you say......nothing.

And this from someone who has complained about how people have interacted with you.

God Bless You!!! That's all I have left at this point.

Maverick speak didn't ya konw?

I think I'll go and read a book now to find out who I need to please to be considered smart.:lol:

Look I meamt a book.....so don't even bother telling me how much time it might take.....I did once say that I am a victim of my own ignorance.

Oh. I just read that Couric is now being blasted for giving a unfair interview to Palin.

I was being respectful towards you even when I thought you were being presumptuous about GGL's meaning.

Thanks for your respectfullness. It is greatly appreciated.

I don't know why calling myself an idiot should elicit this type of response because it sounds as if I had called you an idiot..

What type of response have elicited?

I'm sorry if you didn't mean that as a smartass remark. But, when you pointed out that you already knew what happened during the holocaust...I did not feel it was not dripping with respect..

I knew that you probably knew what happened during the Holocaust ...I was trying to push you further into explaining where you felt Palin was wrong...And you still dont seem to be able to do that.

Maybe I'm an idiot for not seeing things your way and even that doesn't merit the response you've given.

I dont know how you see Palin's comments..You haven't explained. You have just conveyed your being "baffled"

I think the comment of you being "baffled" by Palin's response was implying that you do not see the situation in Iran as similar to the Holocaust?

Sorry if I was too presumptious once again for your taste...

You did not explain your reasoning for feeling this way..so I filled in the blanks for you...

I'll just let this go because I don't have any interest at all in wasting my time on the brilliance of Palin......

I'll just let this go too, because I don't have the interest in debating with someone that wont back up their comments with reasoning.

Uh Oh. Am I being to mean or rude? You probably wont read my posts from here on out....Oh well..

...but, sorry, you can't blame the Bush Administration or John McCain this time around. Despite whatever rants you are hearing in the liberal press or dishonest mainstream media, the truth is verified and documented on this. Look back several pages ago on this thread... you'll see it for yourself.

Yet what you posted squarely blaims the democratic congress....

I'm not blaiming it all on one person, it's just the comments that you posted that were...

God Bless You!!! That's all I have left at this point.

You want to continue pointing out my personal approaches (or my presumptioness as you put)..but I cant do the same in return..?

If you dont want to be drawn into a personal debate with me..then why the hell do you initiate it?

Thanks for the blessings..

Oh. I just read that Couric is now being blasted for giving a unfair interview to Palin.

Not surprising at all......it took them long enough to complain though...or maybe they feel the media needs another distraction.

Please share the title of that book with me.

Roman, that article by Dan Balz was something. I agree with it totally. McCain had a very bad day. He did it to himself too. He says he's going to go join the negotiations and has no plan on how to do so????

You know, I am starting to feel a little sorry for Palin. She was brought on to the campaign for very cynical reasons. Then, they lock her up and not let her out on her own for a month, then throw her in to interviews with network anchors. Obviously they did not prepare her for those interviews. She's not an idiot. I don't think she's ready to be a VP candidate and the campaign certainly has not done anything the last month to make her ready to be a VP candidate. I can't believe they did not let her out on her own and allow her to gain some confidence in meetings with the media. What was so obvious is that she felt assured and confident when she interviewed with Charlie Gibson. She was nervous and insecure with Katie Couric. It was like she had no confidence at all.

I understand Palin's too.

We'll just leave it at that..

You know, that is not even credible. Couric was very gentle and respectful to her. I was very impressed with how Couric has grown as anchor and as a hard news reporter. I think I'll start watching CBS a bit more.
