Members Jess
I know, he said he suspended his campaign. That is different than actually suspending it.

Members Wales2004
I was being respectful towards you even when I thought you were being presumptuous about GGL's meaning. I don't know why calling myself an idiot should elicit this type of response because it sounds as if I had called you an idiot. Maybe I'm an idiot for not seeing things your way and even that doesn't merit the response you've given. I'll just let this go because I don't have any interest at all in wasting my time on the brilliance of Palin......
Members Roman
OH! I see. If McCain says it......it makes it the truth. Thanks fort clearing that up.
Members Greg's GL
Go back one page to see my last post. It got buried a little while others were posting. You have an uncanny knack for spin, do you know that? Is McCain's campaign aware of this, because they are really missing out if they don't recruit you like, now. Let me explain. Yes, the Holocaust was the killing of Jews, Casey, but it was so much more than that. There were millions of people killed that weren't Jews. They were POWs, Gypsies, Homosexuals, Slavics, ethnic Poles, etc. I know you have to realize that it was systemic and took years of degradation, humiliation and abuse before these people were killed. They were locked up and tortured. Why would someone use this as an example of Israel defending itself? I understand the Jews were the primary target of the Nazis and in the concentration camps, but this is just .... I don't know. IMHO, if she was talking about Iran (and she never mentioned them in the context of this question), it's like comparing apples to oranges. Take that however you want. I just thought the comparison was very inappropriate and she could have answered the question without using the Holocaust as an example.
Members Wales2004
Thanks Casey. I am all that you say......nothing. And this from someone who has complained about how people have interacted with you. God Bless You!!! That's all I have left at this point.
Members Wales2004
Maverick speak didn't ya konw? I think I'll go and read a book now to find out who I need to please to be considered smart. Look I meamt a book.....so don't even bother telling me how much time it might take.....I did once say that I am a victim of my own ignorance. Members Roman
Oh. I just read that Couric is now being blasted for giving a unfair interview to Palin.
Members George008
Thanks for your respectfullness. It is greatly appreciated. What type of response have elicited? I'm sorry if you didn't mean that as a smartass remark. But, when you pointed out that you already knew what happened during the holocaust...I did not feel it was not dripping with respect.. I knew that you probably knew what happened during the Holocaust ...I was trying to push you further into explaining where you felt Palin was wrong...And you still dont seem to be able to do that. I dont know how you see Palin's comments..You haven't explained. You have just conveyed your being "baffled" I think the comment of you being "baffled" by Palin's response was implying that you do not see the situation in Iran as similar to the Holocaust? Sorry if I was too presumptious once again for your taste... You did not explain your reasoning for feeling this way..so I filled in the blanks for you... I'll just let this go too, because I don't have the interest in debating with someone that wont back up their comments with reasoning. Uh Oh. Am I being to mean or rude? You probably wont read my posts from here on out....Oh well..
Members bandbfan
Yet what you posted squarely blaims the democratic congress.... I'm not blaiming it all on one person, it's just the comments that you posted that were...
Members George008
You want to continue pointing out my personal approaches (or my presumptioness as you put)..but I cant do the same in return..? If you dont want to be drawn into a personal debate with me..then why the hell do you initiate it? Thanks for the blessings..
Members Wales2004
Not surprising at all......it took them long enough to complain though...or maybe they feel the media needs another distraction.
Members Jess
Please share the title of that book with me. Roman, that article by Dan Balz was something. I agree with it totally. McCain had a very bad day. He did it to himself too. He says he's going to go join the negotiations and has no plan on how to do so???? You know, I am starting to feel a little sorry for Palin. She was brought on to the campaign for very cynical reasons. Then, they lock her up and not let her out on her own for a month, then throw her in to interviews with network anchors. Obviously they did not prepare her for those interviews. She's not an idiot. I don't think she's ready to be a VP candidate and the campaign certainly has not done anything the last month to make her ready to be a VP candidate. I can't believe they did not let her out on her own and allow her to gain some confidence in meetings with the media. What was so obvious is that she felt assured and confident when she interviewed with Charlie Gibson. She was nervous and insecure with Katie Couric. It was like she had no confidence at all. Members George008
Thank you for explaining! I appreciate that. I really do understand your point now...! I understand Palin's too. We'll just leave it at that..
Members Jess
You know, that is not even credible. Couric was very gentle and respectful to her. I was very impressed with how Couric has grown as anchor and as a hard news reporter. I think I'll start watching CBS a bit more.
