Members Roman
But if someone says blacks won't vote because of the campaign Hillary ran, or that young people won't vote because they have no faith in her, then what we have is..... "Oh. All Bill and Hillary have to do is say they're sorry and the people will forgive them and vote for her" Which in effect is calling some people stupid because if they don't vote for your candidate, they have no good sense. Members DevotedToAMC
I am not talking about being more argumentative but about the fact that, whenever someone here wants to celebrate a Hillary victory, others have to swoop on in and muck it up by raining on parades. It is not fair for those of us who want to enjoy the moment...it has nothing to do with arguments. I have not been in the Ron C thread so I cannot comment. Nobody has won or lost anything in this primary. That happens when one gets to 2,025 or 2,229 (not sure if that is the number) if MI and FL are seated, which I don't think will happen but that is me. If she cannot win The White House, explain the pollls out right now that have her ahead of McCain by nine percent while Obama is only ahead two percent (I hope that number of his goes up) I haven't seen Hillary downgrade or degrade anything about Obama in the past couple of days...if you are referring to the white working class comment, I would hope that most people see past this cry of "racism" because it was not racist. It is like me saying I attract hardworking white women. Am I a racist? Nope. And that comment is not suggesting that I am superior to anyone of another race just because I attract hardworking white women. The thing is I attracted one enough to marriage so the rest have to sit on the sidelines ...but anyways, I see more SDs coming for her with the big victory in West Virginia. After all, any Democrat who has won The White House in the 20th Century has needed West Virginina, except for Woodrow Wilson in 1912. Since Hillary won the key state of WV, that could be persuasive with SDs. There are also about 20 or so SDs of California remaining. I think the remaining ones should go for Hillary since she rightfully won my state. I think Obama will have himself to blame if he loses in November and does not pick Hillary as VP because he sees the numbers of how many supporters of her will go to McCain...he needs to reach out to them and the best way is selecting her as a running mate. I agree with you that the Hillarack ticket is a dream come true and should be actuality. I think Hillary is willing to accept second place, as in recent comments that suggest she wants to concede (not sure if that is her intent)...so she is content with being the runner up and being that runner up after a good talk with Obama about what she can bring to a ticket as VP, which is a lot. Agree about health care...the best we can hope for is a mandated system that keeps insurance in business so that they don't donate millions to defeat a single payer system plan. That is how I would want it but I know it won't happen so long as they have their millions so the next best option is mandated health care where the government can help reduce prices. Members Southofnowhere
The folks of WV didn't vote for Hillary because they think she's great they voted for her because she's white. Hillary winning WV means NOTHING!
Members DevotedToAMC
I don't care if you are the Pope or Jesus Christ himself. You can have your opinion but it should be respectful and not bash anyone, which it indirectly did. You can say that idea is stupid but don't call people stupid because of their opinion that turns them off of either candidate or because they don't share the same views. As you can see, someone here took you to task for that comment so he was offended and you did not apologize to him.
Members Roman
So what you are now saying is if Hillary wins, I don't ave the right to speak my opinion. Wow. Oh, and BTW......many found her comments racist indeed.
Members DevotedToAMC
And that is what happened...to have it coming from an administrator is appalling.
Members DevotedToAMC
That has nothing to do with an administrator calling people stupid and one poster here took offense to it and no apology has been offered. I have never said that blacks or young people are stupid if they do not vote for Hillary but I think they can give her a second chance over Bill's racial comments. Members DevotedToAMC
Where you get this idea is beyond me...but I am not the one who said that people are stupid if their candidate is not on the ticket. There are reasons why they won't vote for one..they don't like some things they did and don't share the same positions. That makes them a voter and a citizen with a right to opinions and not a stupid one.
Members Roman
We gave them 100 chances when he was doing his business in the WH. How many times are we supposed to look the other way?!
Members DevotedToAMC
And I stand by my opinion that it is hypocritical of you to condemn people for bashing others when you just did that and it offended a good poster here! This message shows you on a power trip and that is not good or healthy. If you don't apologize for bashing someone, that is selfish
Members DevotedToAMC
Look I appreciate that the black community stood by Clinton in The White House...but he did not offend the community when he was president. He did and the community has every right to be offended...and doesn't he deserve a second chance? I mean he did a lot for the community...do something for him and let him have another chance. But of course he has to show he means what he says
Members Roman
Who are you to say if he offended the black community or not? Wow! That's amazing. I am flabbergasted.
Members DevotedToAMC
As far as I know, the black community did not have any uproars at him when he was president. Not sure if that is true or not. I know he pissed off the black community with his SC/Jesse Jackson remarks and they were right to be upset. Members Roman
I Got it from you! You said that you came in here to Celebrate and then got mad when folks said her victory didn't mean anything (Which it doesn't). You're the one who keeps bringing up the stupid part. I posted on it once, giving my opinion. I thought I was entitled to that.
