I am sorry you're not feeling well again. I felt a cold coming on Sunday so I drank some hot rum, honey and lemon which I thougjt would knock me out....it didn't but it took care of my throat and I'm back to a lozenge every morning since I've develped allergies.

What do you want to talk about?

My prediction was that the polls would shift back towards McCain. They have. Especially today...have you checked the poll averages at realclearpolitics.com? Take a look at the line chart. Obama is on a downward trend, while McCain is going upward. He has been on the rise since the Biden/Palin debate.

I guess not. What exactly is the definition of an issue now? Anything that doesn't involve a negative spin of Obama?

This has been going off and on for about three weeks, but I couldn't call out from work because I was helping do grant writing and whatnot for funding. Finally I get to take some time off and get better.

I'm going to drink some tea with honey & lemon. My mom sent me some ginger root yesterday but it's disgusting to drink, and then there's that whole straining process which is so tedious. I wish I was at my grandma's, she would give me some bootleg, lol.

I'm looking forward to the debate tonight. Knowing that Obama has a solid electoral lead on McCain and is up in the polls gives me hope that Obama will turn in a top notch performance. He can't afford to drop the ball tonight.

Sarah Palin is running off at the mouth at some event in Jacksonville (I think it's Jacksonville) right now. :rolleyes:

I'll just sit back and read as I work on my love/hate relationship with iTunes. I don't even want to know how McCain stepped on a stool to try to pull anything over Obama's head....the whole notion is ludicrous since he could only try to literally do it.....certainly not figuratively. :lol:

I'm not big on ginger and I am not good with mint tea either.

The debate should be more interesting than the first one and McCain should be happy about the Town Hall aspect so maybe he'll be less tense and angry.

Believe it or not...someone has asked McCain this. Remember it happened 8 years ago, and McCain has apologized..He apologized to the entirety of the Vietnamese people.

Roman, McCain was a POW during a war in which the enemy was referred to as two things, by the soldiers.."gooks" and "charlie".

John McCain (as I have said before) should have known better, he should have known that the usage of "gook" had become more broad. But this was a name that he was used to using to refer to the Viet Kong.

What else do you want me to say about this?? Good grief.

      I had forgotten he was on Kotter until the interview (I did watch that show to the end in reruns but the only replacement I remembered was Della Reese). I should watch that spinoff pilot sometime.  Maybe he decided acting wasn't for him anyway as his last credit is two years later.

      I don't have to tell you, that he was their “big get” when it came to casting.  He replaced John Travolta on Welcome Back Kotter and starred in the backdoor pilot for a guy spinoff of Charlie's Angels with Barbara Stanwyck.  He was certainly more famous than the lead singer of one-hit-wonder Player. Side note: You know The Colby's was bad if Barbara Stanwyck thought the writing was worse than the Guy Charlie's Angels script.

      This has a lot of talk about early B&B, including Lynda Hirsch correctly inferring that Gail Kobe and Bill Bell may not work together long. She also roasts Bill Bell the way Chris Schemering did for the various mentions of "My God, man!" I am trying to remember if we actually got any of those (didn't Ridge used to say it?). There's also a lot of mention of Stephen Shortridge, who never seemed to have anywhere near as much value on the show itself. Sometimes I am surprised they never brought Dave Reed back for another doomed Brooke romance.

      Another episode breakdown by RC. That wasn't great to see on screen. I thought the Laura and Leslie scenes were a dream sequence.  The episode was better than yesterday's episode. I'm not feeling the Anita story at all.  Ashley and Derek continue to be a bore.

      Is the writing staff trying to use coded messaging ? Javi was very specific that he wasn't fired for being gay, but he was harassed into quitting. I wish Johnny was going to work at the paper, I'd like him with Chad. I hope there's no foreshadowing in Tate and Shawn feeling queasy…

      The red carpet was so lame and cringworthy. The biggest fool in PC is the last to arrive. Wish everyone in PC would stand in line to slap Willow in the face for being so dumb. The best part of the episode was Alexis finally telling her psycho daughter Kristina that her days are numbered.

      I think it's the next day, or nothing explicitly ties this one to the prior one, unless Shawn had on the same clothes as when he called in sick? So maybe I'm wrong. Did they acknowledge that Tate's little sister and babymama seem to have the same birthday? And why wasn't Tate invited to Rachel's tea party?? Javi trained to be an EMT (I thought it was in Corpus Christi, though). He revealed this after he saved Sarah from certain death -- by reminding her that she had an EpiPen -- and Leo questioned how he knew what to do.
