That is a cheesy ad and needs to be pulled. There is no excuse for resorting to the same low brow tactics used by the GOP.

It would really be nice if both candidates stopped making the campaign about whoever in the media they do not like. What possible service did McCain provide voters with his silly Spain game, and what service does Obama play linking Rush Limbaugh to anyone. Stop spending money fighting with enemies in the medis.

That is what it SHOULD be called, with all the McCain butt-kissing I see on there.

I say this because, John King, Cambell Brown and some others seem, to me, to be rather one-sided on the campaigns. Jack Cafferty, Jeff Tubin & Roland Martin seem to be some of the few who try and balance things out to me.

Just my opinion. :)

The chairman of the SEC can be demoted by the President.

I appreciate the fact that McCain is at least setting up a plan, and developing ideas for a solution. All I've heard from the Obama camp is pokes at McCain's plan. What does Obama plan to do about Wall Street? If Obama is elected he cant pick apart McCain's plan any longer, he will need to acutally lead and come up with his own ideas.

Anyone who makes Obama out to be some pervert is just sick.

And those who keep saying that he wanted sex ed. taught..........if the parents are not saying one word to these kids, where in the hell does anyone expect them to learn this stuff?

The intention was not to paint Obama as a pervert. The ad never used the word. The ad sheds light on his (what's a nice way of putting this?)...stances that are not exactly "middle of the road".

Most Americans (myself included) believe that any form of sex ed for Kindergarterners is a tad early.

Every one learns about sex eventually, whether the parents are involved or not. Roman, I'm sure you learned it at some point in your life. It's definitely not the job of a Kindergarten teacher to start the education of sex!

    • Haha, I get it. I was too old when Halloweentown was popular with the kids, but I did go back and watch the first two about 6-7 years ago and actually thought Marnie was a likable lead and she was pretty good, for a movie like that. But now watching GL and seeing her as a young child, I totally get what you're saying. She's annoying haha.
    • I feel bad for judging a child, but, to be fair, she's over 40 now. My daughter was into Halloweentown when it reran on the Disney Channel in the 2010s. I wasn't impressed then, either.
    • Isn't that funny how certain memories as young children stick with you through life... Haha I totally get what you mean. That's how I felt with GL in the beginning, but then I got used to it. Seeing so many of my favorite AMC characters on GL was wild - Walker, Irizarry, Dusay, Budig, Aleksander, Gil Rogers, etc.  Ironically, it helps that Irizarry and Dusay played both mother/son in both shows. I know Marcy Walker was wasted on GL as Tangie, but selfishly I'm so glad she was. When she left GL and returned immediately to AMC as Liza Colby, man was it such a great storyline. The Tad/Dixie/Liza triangle was so emotional, tense and memorable. The AMC fans got lucky with that one. WRCW, Tad/Liza working together, the affair, then Jason Sheffield and the shooting on-set... all amazing stuff.   LOL!
    • I remember thinking that he was fantastic after Reva's 1990 "death," with his grief and attempted relationship with Harley. I also remember the cute Marah, not the toothy chick from Halloweentown.
    • Totally agree - we have much to learn about Vernon, and I'd love to see it.
    • I've enjoyed Vernon but I wouldn't be opposed to learning more about his life beyond his political work. What kind of family does he come from? Does he have any siblings? I feel like that could be an interesting thing to look at.

    • I've always said, Robert Newman does not get enough credit for the popularity of Josh/Reva. Had he stayed in '91, and had years to build other relationships before Kim returned, I'm not sure we'd have been stuck with "always".
    • Bizarrely, while I didn't see it, I distinctly remember my younger sister telling me. We were walking to the store, and at the top of the hill she let out "Roger raped Holly", and I swear I remember it echoing for what seemed like forever. She would've been five at the time.  I know,,,which I find extraordinary. I have toyed with the idea of watching Another World for Maeve, Kathleen Widdoes and Beverlee. But watching Vanessa call Emma Snyder "momma" kinda weirded me out. LOL. I believe that's what I read in the recaps from the time as well. I meant, I couldn't quite believe that the audience wouldn't understand that a woman preparing to go to her engagement party  was raped. I know that on ATWT John raped Kim while they were married, resulting in Andy, but I think they shied away from calling that marital rape.
    • I have my fingers crossed for a baby to be named Monica Michelle & called Monica. And, yes, I do realize that is not equal to having her onscreen but, like you said & of course a recast is unthinkable.
