2008: The Directors and Writers Thread

Yeah the few FiCore writers wouldn't be enough to churn out all those scripts. I'm sure less people were writing, but each show had to have some scabs. BTW, I don't think Tom Casiello is exwriter, I personally believe he's one of those LML related writers.

The deeply tragic thing about this AMC shake-up is that the team is now even worse than it was when Megan wrote the show. Only 2 good scriptwriters (Joanna Cohen and Kate Hall), with 1 addition that showed some potential in the past (Cinquemani, as Sinclair noted).

These people are really show killers.

ITA!!

When Megan was HW AMC still had Karen Lewis, Michelle Patrick, Joanna Cohen, Stephen Demorest ect..... They were good writers. Now we only have 2?!!, maybe 3!??

I'm glad Tom Casiello, ooops, I mean "exwriter"

False.

Soap writers wrote these shows during the strike, either ficore or scab...that's the way it works.

But you gotta be careful who you call out as a scab. You claim to have "sources" so when you speculate someone was a scab (ie: Kanelos, Milstein), some people might take you seriously, and that's pretty dangerous game to play.

I'm intrigued by Cinquemani, because I know he wrote a lot of the Dillon Quartermaine-heavy episodes on GH several years ago (if I'm not mistaken, wasn't he the one who wrote the episode where Dillon was in the drug store buying condoms?). He seems to know how to turn a phrase, so I'm curious to see what he'll write for AMC

Yeah, he wrote a bunch of early Dillon/Georgie scripts which were great.

*sigh* Dillon/Georgie were so rootable and fun to watch......only to be destroyed by Carly Jr. <_<

Antonia Torres.....does that name sound familiar? Rumor has it she is a new script writer for GH.

Neither do I (believe he's Casiello). I have my own theory on who this writer might be. :D

exwriter was way too "concrete" in the way he or she wrote. casello's blogs and his interview with toups are written much more conversationally.

and the way exwriter talks about fi-core people, and knowing sheffer is fi-core and a friend of TC's, just didn't seem like the same person.

GH

- Michele Val Jean back listed as Script Writer on April 7

What a relief she's back. I was getting worried. :)

Yay! No wonder why this episode is not so bad!!! :)
