Lewis' contract was up but whether she retired or was let go I guess we'll never know. On the one hand, she'd been doing this forever so retirement seems reasonable. But on the other hand, because she'd been doing this for so long, she had to have been costly.

Also there was an interview B&E did last year where they criticized one of their writers for writing some beautiful scenes but they didn't feel that the words made sense for the character involved (like these tools have any right to judge anyone's knowledge of the characters). That could have been Karen. And I'm sure whatever the dialogue was Karen was right and B&E were dead wrong.

Frederick Johnson should be headwriter of AMC! I had the absolute pleasure of talking to him back in....97 I think, it was around the time Maria died...and I was very impressed.

And the man hates McTavish so his judgement is spot on. The second Megan came back in 98 he jumped ship and the second Megan left in 1999 he came back lol.

I guess we'll see if the Bugler/McTavish connection was true. Although, given how lazy and apathetic B&E are it would not surprise me if they kept her on staff despite McTavish's comments. If they fired her they might have to fill out a form or something. ...Takes away from their pub time.

Oooh, I love these Kubla Khan behind-the-scenes tidbits! :)

But what kind of a name is that?? Something like Greenlee Smythe...

I'm sure someone on Usenet or on another board mentioned it, but if you say she isn't, I believe you. And the dilemma is irrelevant, I don't care about someone's race. I think she wrote many great scripts during her ATWT tenure.

That happens a lot, from what I've seen. People can be on the team, but not write enough episodes to be on the ballot, and just join the group on stage. They don't win the actual awards or speak to the press afterwards - just join their friends on stage.
