Members Sylph
This would be very good news for AMC if it happened. Very.
Members DaytimeFan
ANOTHER writer for Y&R. What's that, 600 writers? For God's sake it's like Noah's Ark. Maria Arena Bell, darling, the world doesn't need two of every kind of writer...good for Beth Millstein though. Gottesfeld and Bennett. Interesting that they've been demoted...to make way for one of Hogan's pals?
Members dm.
Whatever happens I want one of these writers or pairs gone... Valerie Ahern & Cristian McLaughlin, Darin Goldberg & Shelley Meals, Cherie Bennett & Jeff Gottesfeld, James Stanley, Marla Kanelos, Scott Hamner... But will it ever happen? Sheffer, please talk some sense into Maria... she needs to let go of some of them... actually, a lot of them.
Administrator Toups Posted July 1, 2008 Author Administrator Share Posted July 1, 2008 I don't think so Ron. Remember, they moved the BDWs to SWs.
Members Sylph
I've just taken a look at GH's team when Pratt was there: Cinquemani was very prominent so I presume he's staying. Also Mary Sure Price wrote a lot more scripts when he was there. At least, it looks that way. Craig Heller was there, too. And as soon as Pratt left, Guza promoted Tracey Thomson, possibly one of the best decisions ever.
Members brimike
Just like GL - and we all see what a great move THAT was.
Members rain1
I hear that Mr. Cinquemani is out and Ms. Thomson is Mr. Pratt's first hire at AMC.

Members Sylph
So I was completely wrong?! He stole Tracey from Guza? This is all so hilarious!
Members brimike
I can take or leave Cinquemani, but I'm thrilled about Tracey if that's true. Thanks, rain1!
Members R Sinclair
Well, as far as script writing assignments, Guza left that in the hands of story editor Elizabeth Korte. According to a column last year written by Carol Banks Weber on SZ, Michele Val Jean really lobbied to write the initial Girls Night Out episode with Robin, Lainey, Emily, Kelly and Liz... but Korte chose to give the script assignment to Karen Harris instead. Craig Heller, huh? The less said, the better. Anyway, from what I can tell, GH's script writing assignments followed certain criteria (as I've also mentioned time and again). For instance, Karen Harris will always write a Robin & Patrick heavy episode. Tracey Thomson writes a lot of scripts where Sam is blatantly featured. Mary Sue Price always writes a lot of the confrontation scenes because Miss Girl is fierce when it comes to writing attitude. Michele Val Jean always writes a lot of emotional scripts especially where Jason, Sonny and Carly are supposed to show some kind of glimmer of being humans. Susan Wald used to write a LOT of the Sonny/Carly marriage fights during the Tamara Braun years... So I think the way Guza operated GH (since that was "his" show) shouldn't necessarily be expected of Pratt when he writes AMC.
Members Khan
Say what, lol?! Wow, Pratt wasted no time re-assembling the writing staff!
Members Soapsuds
So I guess we wont know who writes the scripts anymore??
Members brimike
No, it should still say their names after the ampersand. It doesn't anymore?
Members Sylph
What I want to know is this: what were Garin Wolf, Conforti and Elizabeth Korte like as SWs? Korte wrote scripts during Pratt's time there. I wasn't expecting that. rain1, do you know how did Pratt and Guza share the power when they were a team? Any agreement or anything resembling one?
