AMC: Are there more changes happening?

I am hearing that some beloved favorites may not only return but come back in front burner stories with yet another change at the helm. We may be seeing a new writing team yet again. Things are still in their early stages but AMC is not done revamping by a long shot.

Is he looking to bring Meggie back? She's had a few months to "rest" as he put it in his statement when she was fired.

And of course coming back with Megan would be Victor Miller. Who knows? They have both taken their breaks. He said at one point he was done, but I dont think so.

Even though Raven isn't reliable, she did call Higley and Mctavish's firings before anyone else. I give her that. Even if I believed nothing she says, it seems very likely that with this strike and AMC's ratings spot, E-Brown are out.

please tell me you are wrong....

I don't want MMcT back anymore than I want B&E to stay.

It's too soon to begin speculating about a headwriter change. While there are some predictions that B&E won't be back after the strike, it's all too premature because I certainly don't think Frons was looking at replacements before the strike, and he certainly isn't negotiating with striking writers now. And for crying out loud, Frons was stupid enough to hire McTavish back for the third time (but I understand his point-of-view), but he's not stupid enough to hire her back for the fourth time. I have no doubt Brian and Megan got along great personally but he saw first hand how wildly unpopular she is with fans, her poor ratings performance, and her unbearably destructive last several months on the show. I would say that last winter fans had never been angrier about the state of the show and it just so happens she was fired at the end of February. Coincidence? Probably not. Yeah, he said she was "just burnt out," but please, it's called being diplomatic. Guza is hacking away at it longer than Megan had, doesn't he need a break too?

VM is approaching 70 years old. He already came out of retirement once for Megan. He retired (again) fromAMC several months before Megan got canned. He's done. (I wouldn't mind seeing him back though, because he is talented...)

Again, it came out after rumors of their dismissal were beginning to spread. Kinda like how the "shocking return" scoop came out after Cady was fired from ATWT <_<

I just spoke with Victor Miller; he's merrily enjoying his retirement and has no intention of returning to daytime - nor has he been asked. McT was not approached either. Well, not yet. ;)
