Jack Dumps Erica On AMC

When Jack learns from Joe that Erica forged Mary's name to have Greenlee committed, the patriarch of the troubled Kane/Montgomery clan immediately confronts it's matriarch-and after telling Erica that he doesn't love her anymore, Jack walks out on her. "They were beautifully written, the scenes where Jack actually breaks up with Erica," reports Susan Lucci. "I felt like I had been ambushed, like all the wind had been knocked out of me, because they took Erica so by surprise. Jack shocked me and shocked Erica." When Jack announces that they're through, "Erica doesn't believe him at first and not for any silly, egocentric reason, but because she really believes in their love. She has finally gotten past her abandonment issues and trusted him, and has said, 'Yes I love you,' and she believes that he really has these feelings for her. He thinks her disbelief is because she thinks Erica Kane is above it all, but it's not that at all. She says to him, 'I want to stay and fight for this! You're just willing to throw this all away?" Lucci defends (to a point) Erica's efforts to have Greenlee sent to the looney bin. "Erica thought she had talked Kendall out of setting Greenlee up and she tried to get Jack to get professional help for Greenlee, but Jack wouldn't hear of it. Then, Kendall told Erica that Greenlee was planning another attempt on Spike, so Erica, of course, had to take things into her own hands and when they couldn't find Greenlee's mother to sign the papers, in the heat of the moments, Erica forged the signature. Not a good thing to do!" the actress chuckles. "I think we all learned that with our report cards in the sixth grade! It wasn't right for her to forge, but at least we know she was coming from a reasonably good place-and an emotional one. Now Erica's lost her husband in the bargain. When they made their wedding vows together at the boathouse, they said, 'We will never let our children come between us again,' but then the first thing that happens, boom, he's out of there! "It's juicy stuff," Lucci allows, but she expresses regret over the end of Jack and Erica's return to funfilled form. "Just a few months ago, they had the "new divorce" storyline and every times they do something like that, the audience is so happy and responds so well-and then it's dropped! I thought it was so relatable, watching Jack and Erica put the spark back in their relationship, but that came to a halt," she sighs, "and suddenly, Jack wants no more."

Aidan's Desperate Search

"Greenlee's still missing and Aidan doesn't want to waste any time," says Aiden Turner of his alter egos efforts this week to track down his lady love. "He loves this woman and he's totally frantic." Aidan heads back to the area where he last saw Greenlee and, picks up Turner, "He comes upon this house owned by a man named Sylvester. The place is a mess' he's got guns. Aidan tries to ask him questions and find out if he's seen Greenlee and he's rude and closes the door in his face. Aidan thinks for a moment, then kicks in the door, uses some Special Ops moves to get his gun away and says, 'How many acres on this property? Any neighbors?' Aidan needs answers and he needs to search the property." When Sylvester remains uncooperative, Aidan (who by now has deduced that Zach and Greenlee's disappearances may be linked) enlists Tad's help. "Tad comes up with an idea to get them the access they need," the actor says. But just when it looks like their efforts may pay off, another Pine Valleyite with an MIA loved one-that would be Kendall-shows up. "It puts a great twist in the story," Turner teases.

Comings & Goings:

Jerome Preston Bates (Derek Frye): He is temporarily replacing Charles Parnell as he is on Broadway. Parnell will be back.

J.Q. DePaiva (Jason): He puts in an appearance on December 12 when Spike gets his cochlear implant surgery.

VCR Dates:

On Monday, December 3, Zach and Greenlee come up with a new plan to escape their prison. Kendall is determined to join forces with Aidan on Tuesday, December 4. "She's a desperate woman," observes Alicia Minshew.

What Will Happen:

Zach and Greenlee are at Richie's mercy.

Greenlee gets quite an earful from a delirious Zach.

Tad and Aidan form a plan to find Zach and Greenlee.

Zach and Greenlee must work together to survive.

Are Richie's feelings for Babe genuine? Billy Miller says:

"When he came in as Wes, she was just a means to an end, a way to assimilate into this culture. But he did fall in love with her-or he's discovering what it means to love through her."

Jack is NOTHING without Erica! Erica on the otherhand will do just fine without hime. Anyhoo Erica hasn't had a good romance in like 8 years. She's at her best in stories about her girls. She also need to ditch the talkshow and het back in the cosmetics game. As for Joe too bad he didn't have such loose lips when he found out Toad and Lamie helped kidnap Mimo!

Why on earth would Erica, who has spent time in a sanitarium, do something like connive to have Greenlee committed?

Oh well. So long as it breaks up her and Jack, I'll live with it.
