February 11, 200817 yr Member Try to see if he can give us a hint that Hogan and co are returning. What direction were some of the stories going in pre-strike? Would he like to be HW for Days? What would be his dream stories to tell at Days? Who are his favorite characters to write for?
February 11, 200817 yr Administrator If you think he's going to be talking about the latest behind-the-scenes fiasco, well, he won't be. LOL
February 11, 200817 yr Member If you think he's going to be talking about the latest behind-the-scenes fiasco, well, he won't be. LOL Well, who knows. He may drop a hint and not know it .
February 11, 200817 yr Author Member Trust me, Tom won't. Any questions regarding what happened with the writers being fired or his opinions on it can't and won't be answered. Just thought I'd put that out there.
February 11, 200817 yr Member I think all my questions or comments are J&M related... Nothing new there Ryan knows I have a tendancy to write long, wierd questions... 1. You said in your blog that you didn't get John & Marlena until just recently, may I ask why not and what was it that changed it? 2. You should've asked at one of the J&M fansites, we would have been happy to give you a history lesson, visual aids included If you're interested in learning more about them even though you're leaving the show, there's a youtube place for them: www.youtube.com/johnandmarlena 3. I think I read that you wrote John's funeral episode, and I have to say that that's one of my favourite episodes of television to date. I get tears in my eyes just imagening Marlena sitting in bed, telling Belle about grief and how she didn't get it until that moment. I get chills. Yes, I am a Deidre Hall fan, but she surprised me and had me on the edge of my seat, without raising her voice, without yelling, by simply giving you raw emotion and coupling what she does best with flat out fantastic dialouge. I've seen the best of the best that she can do, and every day of that week, I was more and more mesmerized by her and by the dialouge. Dialouge and acting that reflects the history... there's nothing better than that! 4. As a John & Marlena fan, and as someone who prefers character driven drama (ie: I hate plot points like interlopers simply there to cause trouble), in your opinion, will I be happy in the coming months? 5. I loved the Stefano/Marlena confrontation, which I belive you wrote, and I just have to give you so much kudos for that. That scene, the week of John's death and the episode where Marlena stormed in with a gun and pointed it at Stefano was some of the best DAYS stuff I've ever seen, so kudos! Good luck in the future Edited February 11, 200817 yr by Pest Spray
February 11, 200817 yr Administrator As a John & Marlena fan, and as someone who prefers character driven drama (ie: I hate plot points like interlopers simply there to cause trouble), in your opinion, will I be happy in the coming months? I can answer that for Tom - he doesn't know. LOL Hogan and his team doesn't have anything to do with what we're seeing or what we'll be seeing.
February 11, 200817 yr Member Another question. With the writer's strike rumored to be ending, where does he see himself ending up? Besides writing for daytime, has he ever considered writing for another genre, i.e primetime, movies, books etc?
February 11, 200817 yr Member Please don't limit this man's interview to a discussion of DAYS. He worked on 4 other shows.
February 11, 200817 yr Member I want to know if there's any truth to the reports that the writing staff has been re-hired at Days! LoL

February 11, 200817 yr Member I want to know if there's any truth to the reports that the writing staff has been re-hired at Days! LoL Kenny, I'm still shocked we haven't heard one word from you re: what Casiello said about Kristen in his other radio interview. LOL
February 11, 200817 yr Member My questions: 1) What was the intent behind the Pocket/Tyler storyline? It seemed to be setting up for some kind of potential battle between Steve and Kayla and Philip and then, poof, they both just give the child up. Was it always supposed to be short term, or did plans change? 2) More generally, how often do plans change in the middle of storylines and why does that happen? Is it audience response? Creative differences? Some other reason?
February 11, 200817 yr Member Tom (and Brash as well) has said that Corday doesn't get very involved with the writing. But he also said in his interview with Toups that it was the "higher-ups" who kept Hogan back. What gives?
February 12, 200817 yr Member I want to ask him does he have an all time favorite storyline-this would be from ALL the soaps he's worked on If he could write anything for Sami Brady, what would it be? Who was the most complicated character to write for and why? Those are excellent questions!
