Are YOU ready for the snow?

I posted this here last year, and got such a kick out of it.

Can some of us relate to this?? ;)

Aug. 20 - Moved from Florida to our new home in Indiana.

It is so beautiful here. The hills are so picturesque. Can hardly

wait to see them with snow covering them. This is God's Country.

I love it here!

Oct. 14 - Indiana is the most beautiful place on earth. The leaves are

turning all different colors - you should see the beautiful shades of

red and orange and yellow! Went for a ride through some beautiful

rolling hills and spotted some deer. They are so graceful, certainly

they are the most peaceful animals on earth. This must be Paradise. I

love it here!

Nov. 3 - Deer season will start soon. I can't imagine anyone wanting to

kill such an elegant creature, the very symbol of peace and tranquility.

Hope it will snow soon. I love it here!

Dec. 2 - It snowed last night! Woke up to find everything blanketed in

white, just like a postcard. We went outside and cleaned the snow off

the steps and shoveled the driveway. We had a snowball fight (I won) and

when the snowplow came by, we had to shovel the driveway again. What a

beautiful place. Mother nature in perfect harmony. I love Indiana.

Dec. 12 - More snow last night. I love it. The snowplow did his trick

again (that rascal) and pushed all the snow back into the driveway, but

we bundled up and had a good time clearing it - and we made a snowman

out of it! A WINTER WONDERLAND. I love it here!

Dec. 19 - More snow last night. Couldn't get out of the driveway to get

to work on time! I'm exhausted from shoveling. That damn snowplow!

Dec. 22 - More of that white crap fell last night. I've got blisters on

my hands from shoveling. I think the snowplow man hides around the

corner and waits until I'm done shoveling this driveway, the jerk! And

you should see our heating bills!

Dec. 25 - "White Christmas" my busted ass! More friggin snow. If I ever

get my hands on that son of a !@#$%^&*] who drives that snowplow, I swear

I'll break the bastard's nose. Don't know why they don't use more salt

on the roads to melt this friggin ICE!

Dec. 28 - More white [!@#$%^&*] last night. Been inside since Christmas Day

except for shoveling out the driveway every time "Snowplow Harry" comes

by. Can't go anywhere, car's buried in a mountain of frozen snow. The

weatherman says to expect another 10" of the [!@#$%^&*] tonight. Do you know

how many shovels full of snow 10" is?

Jan. 1 - Happy Damn New Year, the weatherman was wrong AGAIN. We got

two feet of the white [!@#$%^&*] this time. At this rate it won't melt before

the Fourth of July. The snowplow got stuck up the road, and the jerk had

the balls to come to the door and ask to borrow my shovel. After I told

him I've broken six shovels already, shoveling all the [!@#$%^&*] he pushed

into the driveway, I broke my last one over his damn head!

Jan. 8 - Finally got out of the house today. Went to the store to get

food and on the way back, a damn deer ran in front of the car and I hit

the bastard. Did about $3,000 worth of damage to the car. Those damn

beasts ought to be killed. Wish the hunters had killed them all last

November.

Mar. 22 - Took the car to the garage in town. Would you believe the

thing is rotting out from all that damn salt they keep dumping all over

the road? Car looks like a piece of [!@#$%^&*]!

April. 10 - Moved back to Florida. I can't imagine why anyone in their

right mind would ever want to live in that God forsaken state of

Indiana!

OMG! This is so funny!

Actually, that's how I feel. I can't wait for snow to fall in December before Christmas. But once Christmas is over, I am so pissed at snow and I always want it gone! Suddenly, my love for snow turns to hate!! And then I curse and curse and curse some more.. But lately, we never get snow for Christmas. It falls always like in January! <_< But they did say on the weather forcast that next Wednesday, Croatia should wake up covered in snow! :D

As you can see, I am in my "I can't wait for snow" faze!

I'm ready for snow!!, unfortunately I'd have to move somewhere like New England to get it. We, shockingly, got some snow flurries Christmas Eve last year in Houston, Texas. That's not enough to satisfy me though; I want a blizzard. I've NEVER been in a snow storm/blizzard that produces inches of snow piling up on the ground that you have to wade through. I've never had the experience of having to shovel snow out of driveway either. Ehh, maybe I'm lucky.. I still want snow though.. it just seems so perfect and right for Christmas.. I've never had a white Christmas :(

I love the snow up until Christmas and New Year's. You've got to have cold, crisp weather for both of those holidays.

After that... it's overkill. Just overkill. I hate COLD weather (but, by the same token, I hate HOT weather just as much). The salt on the road eats my car. I remember the huge snowstorm that we had here last year, I was stuck indoors for over a week (at a "retirement community apartment complex," no less) because a huge snow drift formed right on top of my car and it took me forever and a day to dig it out. And everytime I'd make progress, a damn snowplow would come by and pile the [!@#$%^&*] right back around it! GRRR. And this whole town looked like someplace in Antarctice, it was totally unreognizeable. Houses and everything were covered, roads were impassable (not to mention the fact that you couldn't see them, period). It was like a winter apocalypse! So eery.

I do love a nice, cold, snowy winter's night right around Christmas, though. A fireplace roaring to keep you warm, hot chocolate and sugar cookies scenting the room with soft Christmas melodies playing in the background as you watch the snow sprinkle around outside.... ahhhh.

That's definitely Indiana. Just add the ice storm we had this past winter which kept many of us in the dark and cold for at least a week. Aaaah. The smell of kerosene heaters and candles.

And I live in the most screwed up city of Muncie. We have pot holes as large as craters and it gets worse each winter. And when they inevitably run out of salt, they throw sand on the street.

I remember that snowstorm, Kenny and all that you went through at the. I believe you were stuck at your grandmas? I think it hit mostly southern Indiana, cause it didn't didnt' get as bad here as you guys got.
