I have some Meg questions. Isnt she Jack's cousin? Why wasnt she at his wedding to Katie? Do they not talk to each other? What is her relationship like with him and Brad bc I see she seems close with Holden. Does she have any friends? She doesnt seem to interact with anyone outside of Craig, Paul, Rosanna and occasionally Holden

Yes, she's Jack's cousin. She wasn't at the wedding because she was visiting Iva, where Emma was, to help care for Emma after she hurt her leg. Meg and Jack talk...last summer she was about the ONLY person encouraging him to admit to Carly he didn't want the divorce. I can't recall a Meg/Brad scene where they said anything other than a quick hello. Most of Oakdale doesn't have "a friend" or anyone to talk to outside of their story bubble. Katie has Henry and V, Carly occassionally has Lily and Ro. Jack has Margo, and occassionally Holden. Meg doesn't really have any "confidante" on the show.

This is what I remembered of Jennifer Ashe's portrayal of Meg, which evolved through several phases. Meg was initially a part of the quad that also included Dusty/Lily/Holden. Ashe was extremely effective playing a schemer trying to break up Lily and Dusty, in the same tradition of such soap schemers like Bobbie Spencer (GH) and Nola Reardon (GL), also created by Marland. But things took an unexpected turn when Lily was over-exposed by Marland and the ingenue character suffered a slight backlash. I remember reading a SOD interview of Ashe at the time, who said that initially she got tons of hate-letters telling her to stay away from Dusty. But as viewers became bored with the pampered Lily, Ashe began receiving letters that were more positive in tone, wanting Meg to go after Dusty. When Meg got involved with Tonio, the character truly blossomed and Ashe was able to show other facets of Meg's personality in the loveless marriage. I don't remember the exact circumstances under which Meg began her affair with Josh, but I do remember feeling surprised by this unexpected turn of events. I also remember that SOD at the time (edited by Meredith Berlin, nee Brown) gave ATWT lots kudos for this bold move.

    • Yeah, not sure why Jack and Jen didn’t rush to Marlena - or even Carrie - to offer their condolences. A few flashbacks would've been a nice touch too. Instead, we got a whole episode of them talking about Chad and Abby? Come on. On the bright side, I loved Anna’s scenes with Marlena and Carrie - sweet and heartfelt, felt like a real 80s throwback.
    • Martin and Smitty were designed to avoid the stereotype of gay men sleeping around (which to an extent is true). If you recall Martin had a line about them not being open when Chelsea came to talk to him. The producers are walking a very fine line right now and it might not be popular to say but I can understand it. Establishing enough footing to ward off complaints will let them showcase gay characters more openly later.
    • The week was decent. They have started to rotate their stories and finally got a rhythm going. I disagree about them allowing every character to have a moment to shine though. Nicole really hasn't been given anything to do. I completely agree with all this. I adore Doug and hope he makes it through.

    • There was the one appearance in '96, but otherwise, that's correct as far as I know.
    •   It's working fine now.

Question for the B&B group: I see @rsclassicfanforever has uploaded multiple seasons from Videoland  (in the folders that are to be put away). They are huge folders and difficult to download so I started breaking them down into months but I realized they are by season so for example, Season 4 spans from March 1990 to March 1991. Now I'm wondering where to actually place them, since we have the Full Episodes section divided by year, not seasons. And most of these seasons we already have in full, so these are duplicates. Not sure if it's necessary to keep the older versions. I could just make another new section for Seasons, so the main folders would be "Behind the Scenes and Interviews," "Clips," "Full Episodes," "Full Seasons," "Music CDs," and "photo archive Marquise" but I'm not sure that really makes sense. Also wondering since we have almost every full episode now if "Clips" can be deleted in its entirety, as it's nearly 300GB.
    • CBS moving Murder, She Wrote from Sunday to Thursday was straight up sabotage. Les Moonves knew exactly what he was doing.
    • I sure hope you’re right. The lack of sets is maddening!
