Another great episode... Meg Kelly had another script? Interesting.

Is there a villain in daytime more delicious than Andre DiMera these days? I simply can't believe there is. Although, I'm wondering when he got so pervy. I mean I'm glad he's given up the non-fatal bomb racket but in the hospital the other day he was all up on Sami and then today he kissed Kate and while I did think those things worked, another part of me is gritting my teeth at more misogyny and sexual harassment under Hogan Sheffer. Although that is unfortunately a common occurence in Meg Kelly's scripts though so maybe it was her doing more than Sheffer. In any event, the bit about Andre taunting Kate about getting Roman's life insurance policy... awesome! Didn't see that coming.

Love the funeral. Awesome that Hope knew right away that Bo was lying and it was good to see John and Marlena again. Though I don't really care about John much any more (congrats Hogan, you won this round) when it comes to Marlena and me I really do think absence makes the heart grow fonder. I adore Jim Lunsford and I enjoy the Benjy-Lexie chemistry. Now that said, where the hell is Celeste?!?! I want me some Tanya Boyd!!! Did they give Lexie some throwaway line where she said that she was watching Theo and I missed it? Is Celeste hiding out to avoid the DiMera wrath for her phony voodoo paternity test? And can someone tell me if anyone who was attending that funeral actually thought it was real besides OMB? Cause I couldn't think of anyone else who believed it. LOL.

As much as I enjoy both EJami and Santeen and am eating up every delectable morsel of it, even I have to admit they are kind of being heavyhanded with the fate/destiny crap. Fans of EJami and Santeen already had this in mind without the show telling them it was so while EJami and Santeen haters aren't going to be convinced by being bludgeoned to death by the words, but probably just hate them all more feeling like the show is dictating it to them, so I think the DOOL writers can quit now. We get it. EJ and Sami are star-cross'd lovers just like Santo and Colleen. Understood. I have no problem with EJ and Sami continuing to dissect the Santo and Colleen relationship and extrapolating on what it means for them, mind you. I just would fully support them delving a little deeper than... it was fate/destiny... just like us. Oh but EJ winked at Sami when he left. That was cute. And Lucas isn't yelling... much. The quiet rage thing when Lucas gives Sami the third degree is such a better acting choice for BD. And I don't blame Lucas one bit for being suspicious even I still think if it is pretty insensitive for him to throw that rape line in her face that way when the whole thing only happened because Sami was so desperate to save HIS life. At least it's in character and at least now when he's being a prick to Sami, he's right about her. Because it is about more than ending the vendetta.

Also, is Sami ever going to be released from the hospital? EJ got ELECTROCUTED and almost died yet he has been out of the hospital like one or two days already while Sami was just dehydrated and she's still there? And Lucas still has no job and hasn't ever looked for one. Who is paying these bills when the two of them have no health insurance. Since they're not explaining this I'll just imagine that EJ is paying them and I think that's nice of him. ;)

Belle if you're so damn cold your lips are blue and you're shivering, zip up your sweater already! At least we weren't subjected to hypothermia Shelle conception though.

Finally, now that Passions is gone when the hell am I going to get to see the new DOOL promo for next week? Do I have to wait until it's posted online? Grrrr.

Good episode, although I tried to watch it live and was interrupted about 5 times, which really wrecks the flow. Andre is so wonderfully, deliciously, thrillingly creepy! And like all good villains, you can't keep him down, no matter how many times he's punched or had bottles broken over his head.

I loved the intensity during the fake funeral scenes. Each character has their own little mini drama going on, which serves to add layer upon layer to the overall drama. Wonderful buildup; I can't wait until everything begins unraveling next week.

Very nice how Sami echoed Colleen's words when she told EJ to leave because she couldn't think when he was there...and then he repeated Santo's words back to her. A subtle reminder of how their lives parallel. See, writers, we pick up on this stuff; you don't need to keep pounding us over the head with the "fate" discussions!

    • I'm fighting for my life on another board for my husband Brandon and I'll do it here too lmao
    • I don't expect Lois to be the same person she was 25 years ago, but she's definitely lost a lot of what made Lois unique.  It's clear the show doesn't know how to write for her, and the sole purpose of Lois is to hide this Gio secret.  It's a shame she doesn't interact with more of the canvas.  It's a waste of Rena's talents. I like Brook Kerr most of the time.  She can be hit or miss.  I totally get what you are saying about her line readings too.  I honestly think the character really suffers being stuck in the Curtis pairing.  She's much better than Tanisha Harper's Jordan lol.
    • Friday and yesterday's episode is what daytime television should be. The other shows airing could take a page from yesterday's show.  I loved the rage, hurt and anger Nicole unleashed on Ted.  Daphnee should be up for an Emmy nom for these scenes.  It broke my heart to see how Dana had locked Eva out.  I do feel sorry for Eva.    I am still bumfuzzled as to why Leslie/Dana went to the DuPree's and asked them to accept Kat UNLESS Eva is really Kat's twin (and really Nicole and Ted's daughter that maybe they though they lost or an embryo Dana/Leslie stole??) I loved how Anita and Vernon both shot her down.    Ohhh and let me just say Friday and yesterday was the MOST fire I have seen Martin have since the show started.  Maybe Brandon Clayborn is coming into his own with the role finally.
    • You've been seeing him all along. You just didn't know it was him, I guess.

    • Where to for Dana? She's pissed off the Duprees (most of the cast), alienated her daughter and will she be welcomed by the Have Nots at the diner? Maybe she can befriend Ashley and Derek and liven up their story.
    • Melissa Ordway announced she was moved to recurring back in November but is still credited with the contract cast members.
    • I think of Evan as a smarmy bast*rd. Maybe you'll like that description. You certainly have him pegged correctly since he is just a soldier following "Admiral" Iris's marching orders.
    • So far the only interest I've seen from Evan to Amanda has been listening to Iris's orders to go and seduce her.  So far he hasn't been successful... but who knows. Amanda is unbearable at times. Entitled, spoiled... idiotic. Iris... so blatantly manipulating her and Amanda takes the bait. But I guess... when she gets in trouble... she'll have a chance to learn. That's what makes these shows so interesting.    Oh, no, don't worry. You haven't ruined a thing. Evan has not been on my radar that much... he was not one of the characters I was caring particularly... so nothing much has been changed for me. I don't think he has the stuff to ruin Rachel's life. He's just a pretty guy that can follow orders. Iris on the other hand... is dangerous.

P.S Maybe Evan will surprise me. Who knows.
    • The show has gone back to 10/10 entertainment! I'm glad that I was right in feeling that what were experiencing were growing pains. I'm sure they are not over yet, but I'll know that we always comeback to quality drama. I think it's going to be a hell of ride (in a good way) from this moment on. BTG has that magic that not a lot of shows have. I'll update more... when I'm done catching up.
