Here's a story you didn't need: I was typing my last post above as I watched. Then CBS News broke in.
Later, I watched the rest on the CBS website. There was nothing else to add to my post.
Dylan and Will kissed again -- she's still a ho pretending she's sweet and innocent -- and she left Will to go to her room. Then she started at him from afar, pretending she's in some angst-filled teenage romance.
Brooke and Katie hurled more insults at each other.
That's it.

Passions Discussion Thread

Some December 2nd 1999 commentary (yes I’ve made it this far) -
The Russell family (Eve in particular) being so willing to easily throw around words like “street thug” about Chad is so bizarre given they are a Black family. You’d think they’d be a little more accepting of Chad considering he hadn’t even shown any behaviours that would make him a “street punk” other than the fact that he’s poor. The first thing Chad has done since arriving in Harmony is try to get a job helping Beth at the book cafe, and all he wants to know is more about his past. Clearly Eve is threatened by this because of her own secrets but damn chill out on the kid a little. It’s weird seeing T.C actually being the one to defend him back then. I know that will change!
Pilar’s comment about Gwen to Theresa about how she should watch out because Gwen is “tough” and she doesn’t know how far she will go to defend her man, that was definitely foreshadowing of all the future a** beatings Theresa will soon receive at the hands of Gwen 😂. Theresa was so weird. She was stalking this man. She just had Gwen locked in a closet at the Halloween dance to spend time with Ethan, now she’s snuggling up with him by the fire when Gwen walks in. Ethan really is just as guilty except the audience tends to give him a pass because he’s just written as being super dumb. All characters in this triangle are a mess in some way or another 😂
Luis and Sheridans little road trip/adventure in New Mexico to find Martin has been really fun because they’re finally softening towards eachother. I never really got to watch the early years of Shuis so I am looking forward to this. Is the actor who is taking calls with Julien actually the real Martin Fitzgerald? I know Sheridan didn’t actually kill him but clearly she has real reason to believe she has. They’re showing Martin being nervous about being found by Luis, but no Katherine. We don’t see Martin and Katherine pop up again until about 2004ish I believe so I am curious to see how this part of the story played out before their arrival later on.
The push and pull between Julian and Ivy was always fun to watch. They despise eachother yet still have this sexual chemistry that pops up here and there. Ivys heart ofcourse belongs to Sam but Sam isn’t ready to admit his feelings for her yet. Glad to finally be getting more Julian/Ivy scenes. There wasn’t a lot of them in September/October.

Lots of great comments here about Maxie, Spinelli, and Lucy, as well as on Deception and Crimson.
I will say it can't be easy writing for multiple main characters who choose to live out of state and across the country. Even with block scheduling, that has to impact what we see.

Lol. The Brenda love went a little too far in 2010. Everyone didn't have to talk about Brenda or love her at the time although I totally got it ha ha!
I remember Sonny/Brenda having a date a Jason's penthouse and Sonny called Spinelli a freak (or something similar) and Brenda fiercely defended Spinelli. Telling Sonny Spin was sweet and he was out of line. There is also a hilarious set of scenes where Spinelli tells Sonny to protect Brenda's virtue and not to sleep with her too soon and Mo's facial expressions were hilarious.

He could drive you crazy for sure. But with the right people I found it amusing. Like when Brenda returned and he finally got to meet The Divine One. I used to love how much that pissed Sam and Carly off. I will be honest I liked his nicknames better than almost all the ones Luke used. They felt more like how a hacker would identify people- by screen names.

Another World Discussion Thread

The possibility of AW moving over to Soapnet is interesting. If it had aired in the evenings (along with delayed daily airings of the other current soaps), I wonder how it would have done. Huge ratings wouldn't have been needed on that network to be considered a success. I suppose it may have still lost Jake, Vicky, Felicia, and if so, that would have hurt, but maybe it would have done well enough to lead the way for other shows to move to Soapnet instead of true cancellation. Port Charles? Maybe even GL and ATWT being moved over before their CBS cancellations. New episodes of these shows would probably have had better ratings than what the network was getting.
Oh, what could have been.
