Cleveland Comedian Wearing Soft Cast

POSTED: 10:32 am EDT August 12, 2007

UPDATED: 11:48 am EDT August 12, 2007

LOS ANGELES -- The price may be right for Drew Carey, but a Los Angeles hospital is saying "come on down."

Carey is nursing an injury he got recently on the set of "The Price Is Right."

The Cleveland native, who's replacing Bob Barker as host, got his arm caught in a game with a rotating device.

The comedian's spokesperson said Carey's fine and just needs to wear a soft cast.

What game was it? In all the years that Bob Barker hosted it nothing like that happened to him. :)

Not sure...wonder how many days he has been on the set taping so far?

Dont know. I kept imagining it being the big wheel. What other rotating game could it be?

The only game that has a rotating device is the wheel for the spot on the Showcase Showdown...

I have seen someone's hang get hung up in it before, or close to it...sometimes the person doesn't let go soon enough or they are wearing sleeves that get tangled up in it...

I figured he got hurt doing that game because all other games don't have any devices that you have to manually rotate.

Apparently during rehearsal, he got his arm caught in the rotating turntable on the platform(where contestants play Showcase Showdown and other stuff) that reveals prizes and games. The game was Grocery Game.

I still dont know how that happened.

At first I thought a Plinko chip flew off the board and hit him in the head.

Sign from God.

Get your ass off my show, Carey.

While I don't like him doing this, I so hope he is alright.

I don't want to laugh but it's hard not to and it makes it easier knowing he didn't get seriously hurt.

Bob did the job for so many years with no incident. Makes you wonder.
