Aww, I loved that music montage ending. Perfect song choice! I loved the Zendall/Josh/Spike scene especially - and then sort of felt bad for Krystal as she looked out at the happy family. Really felt bad for Adam as he sat there and cried while looking at a happy family picture. :( I was wondering when that Janet scene would pop up today....

Great music all around today. Kudos to the music department.

Also, I'm really happy to see Amanda and Annie stand up to their men and take a stand. That was refreshing. Like you said QSteph - glad they got a set of ovaries today....lol.

Ohhhh - did you see Josh and Hannah in tomorrow's preview?? ;) Wow, should be good! haha

IDA, with those people being innocent victims. They were trying to get a baby illegally. That is a crime. They may not know where the baby was coming from, but they know they werent going through the legit channels. They were accomplaces to Adam, whether they were fully aware or not.

Jamie, I wanted to tell STFU. He needed to get off his high horse and I hated how he treated Amanda. She should have kicked him in the nuts and told him to F-off

I also loved the montage as they showed the other mothers with their children and Krystal not having hers. That was a nice touch and very well done

Hide and Seek Ryan

Wow he just bursts right into Wildwind being the HIGH HO of Wildwind and then sees that Emma and Kathy, err, Kate are playing Hide and Seek and decides that with his superhero powers he can definitely play this game! After all, the lowest IQ they accept in this one is a -300 and well Ryan the dufus just barely makes the mark! So I wonder just where Ryan would hide while playing this game...perhaps under a wax figure of Picasso and Monet playing tonsil hockey while building a bridge in Arizona to sell to someone who actually thinks it can be found there. Or who knows he can go into the mausoleum on the Wildwind grounds and notice my great uncle's dead body in which he died with his a$$ in the air (this is true, by the way....my great uncle did die like this). But what a way to go play the game and to see all the places where he could hide but I think I got it! Yep I can outsmart Dynamite Zippo Kiddo Lippo Viagara-O...he is hiding inside Rosie O'Donnell's "View"ed intestines ready to eat the leftover salami she garbled down right after having a night on the town with Bawa Wawa and of course things got intimate but no more gross details or anything. Ahh but where to find the moron known as Ryan while playing this game...maybe try finding him as he hides in the pool ready to be eaten by a ten breasted shark who has just taken Ibuprofin to clean up his fin ache!

I think those two parents clearly did not intend to steal someone else's baby but they aren't 100% blameless (I don't think they're "evil" though). And while I get people on the Tad not being a spotless hero, I wouldn't expect someone to react to news about their child another way.

The thing about it all is that Tad found out about his ONS spawn five seconds ago. He keeps talking about Adam viewing his children as objects and extensions of himself -- and at the same time Tad is using the CartinMarey spawn as a Kate replacement. They're all using this creature for their own reasons. Tad wasn't going to let his demon spawn live in "that house." It's okay for JR to have lived with him and Dixie all those years, divorce after divorce after drug addiction after psycho Leslie Coulson... but it's not okay for Krystal to raise the spawn in the Chandler Mansion? Tad just didn't want Adam to have any part of his "property." That's what started this whole horrible storyline. So Dumb&Dumber kept pulling all of these pranks to force Adam out of his own house. And now, when the consequences of their actions bit them square on the ass, I'm supposed to feel some kind of way for these asswipes?

The person I feel for is Adam. I really do. Everyone has turned on him and only acknowledge the level of betrayl that he feels only when they're trying to manipulate him or rationalize their actions. He's acting out because everyone around him is telling him, "Eh, Krystal cheated on you for no good reason. She lied about a baby. She does it all the time! GET OVER IT!"

I'm so glad Amanda shut that doofus Jamie up.

Where does Tad have the authority to give the Chief of Police orders over a phone? Did Tad become a commissioner overnight? Also, I have to agree that I'm on the adoption couple's side. Tad getting sanctimonious made me puke as I kept flashing back to him keeping Miranda's identity a secret and CHOOSING Jamie over JR and helped everyone kidnap Little Adam. Even using Liza to help with evading the cops. While I still don't feel sorry for Krystal, I at least believe she "gets" what's going on around her and her part in it. Tad's proving he's Jamie's father by totally being unremorseful for his past actions and is only concerned about what's going with him now and what he deems is HIS. Jamie has no remorse for kidnapping Little A. He's only concerned with what's going on with him now and what he deems HIS! I hope Janet runs away with that spawn. I totally do not like what that baby represents and I have no emotional investment at all. Even though I didn't like the fact that Spike emerged from Ryan's sperm, I was invested in that baby because Kendall's sacrifice -- and how she was basically spit on. This baby -- it's like "Yeah, we get a reward for torturing, murdering, kidnapping and infidelity! INSTA FAMILY!"

Jonathan's starting to act creepy again? I'm sorry, but has he acted any other way? Branson is one note. Bored with him. Even when he's supposed to be playing with Emma and Kathy, he sounds like he's angry and psychotic. "I'M GOING TO GET YOOOOOOOOOOOU! BWA HA HA HA HA HA!" Sheesh, man. Take it down a notch.

Back to Amanda, I don't like how nobody respects the fact that Amanda is being loyal to her mother and her well being. The CartinMareys are just like, "well, we think she's a psychopath so you should've just sold her out! THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!" Like those bastards don't grasp the concept of "protecting" their family? Among KWAK, Porker, Dumb & Dumber, there are so many worse crimes that were committed in the name of "protecting their family" that they should be all too ready to understand Amanda's choice in keeping silent.

Did anybody notice the blooper where the adoption couple left the cabin, and he went one way and she went the other way?

No Friday's was the first episode without McTrash :)

I loved the scene near the end where Spike saw Zach and he just lit up, and vice versa with Zach. I hated the scene with KWAK and Kendall but am glad Kendall took KWAK's hand off of Spike ever so subtly.

I thought Tad's sermon to the adoptive couple was out of line and over the top. At least Adam found a couple who really wanted to have a kid instead of just leaving the baby with Janet. I wouldn't say the adoptive parents were blameless, but they weren't trying to criminally steal a baby or aiding a babysnatcher like so many other characters have (Tad, Jamie, Babe, etc.).

Amanda giving it back to that obnoxious moron Jamie was the highlight of the episode for me!

I also hope Jonathan is the shooter both to get him off the show and to knock Ryan down a few pegs.

I felt really sorry for Adam, especially when JR was going on about how Adam was rejecting Colby's love. As someone earlier posted, these fools have no proof that Adam was involved in the kidnapping and they all turned their collective backs on him. He was Krystal's victim, imo the only victim of this plot besides Jenny, yet he gets no sympathy from any of the characters on the show!?!?

    •  Yeah, he is still dressed like Martin. He looks great, though.  Cute picture. Sober up, cause we need the tea.
    • Well, Claire did rig Rick's test results, but it was to flunk. They actually managed to get his correct results back after they were thrown into Cedar's furnace...I think? Everyone knew Claire changed them and Rick passed so that rewrite never made sense.   I agree. Pratt always seems "edgy" on screen (and her Locker Room interview prooved that it came from her personality.) I liked Claire causeing trouble and love Meta ringing her beads. Its just too bad that Abby left and they kinda just forgot Claire existed.
    • Oh so they did sleep together. The retcon was just the medical boards? That makes sense. I think Susan Pratt, while a good actress, was just an unlikeable presence onscreen and soaps wrote to that most of the time. There was some potential for more with her when she returned in that stint, as Pratt was at least interesting to watch and caused some conflict for the stifled Bauers. Instead of pairing her with Alan and then disappearing I might have had her hook up with Danny. I think there was a lot of flirtation with Bolger's Philip, but they never crossed the line.
    • I haven't seen Melchior in the role, but it would be astounding if she's worse than Linn. Her rivalry with Stephanie was sidelined IMO because Linn was one of the few actors who didn't have chemistry with, nor raise her game, when paired with Susan Flannery. To be fair, she did show some signs of life in scenes opposite Darlene Connelly, but way too little too late. It feels like Bell finally woke up after the Thorne switchover and sidelined the Kristin character with Mick to 1 or 2 appearances a week. As a result, the show improved by leaps and bounds after she was inexplicably at the center of the show for most of 1989. Margo is so much more enjoyable when not tied to that albatross. Even Clarke is watchable with less Kristin interaction. She can't exit stage left soon enough. As for the new Thorne, I agree that Norcross feels like a Forrester a lot more than Thrachta, even if the latter is a better actor.
    • The cast said that scenes were filmed over a few weeks, with a preplanned hiatus in the middle, and it was all out of order.  I would *guess* that they used Chandler when they could get him? They also had to work around Leo Howard getting married around the time these episodes were filmed, but I guess they worked it out since Tate appeared.
    • Maybe there was a scheduling conflict or something. He still has the full time 9-5 in Atlanta, right? Julie was there. Idk if Maggie’s gonna be a part of it though
    • At this point, the best nonpaywall coverage of Los Angeles (and anything political)  is in...the Tennessee Holler https://bsky.app/profile/thetnholler.bsky.social And as always, emptywheel continues to be consistent https://bsky.app/profile/emptywheel.bsky.social
    • Today Monday was the start of people arriving at the funeral, but the service hasn't started yet.  I know this is the nonspoiler thread but I think it's okay to say (in nonspecific terms) that the funeral episodes span a few days.  I won't detail it more here. Just sayin' keep watching.
    • Why am I only now hearing about what happened in L.A., lol?
    • While I agree that Reeves is Jennifer, I honestly do prefer Cady McClain in the role, as I feel she had/has a wider range of acting capabilities than I feel Reeves has. It's the strength of an actor, ultimately, for me, regardless of how I feel about Reeves' political/social views (which I widely disagree with). Plus, not to mention, they costumed Reeves like an old-fashioned frumpy farm/Moron wife, while McClain had some fashion-forward moments.
