DAYS: Recast Kristen

Hell, I can't see Eileen wanting to do anything too camp and over the top. She has a more mature look to her, she doesn't look as youthful as she did in the 90's. Hell, the woman is approaching 50, I so don't see her wanting to portray someone that over the top.

Oh but it's ok for you to excuse all the character and history destruction JER forced upon Days and Passions fans? Can't have it both ways, Rion.

He isn't trashing nothing. Susan is gone. She wasn't even a main character. I like her but, let's be realistic. Susan was a gimmick. That is it. Kristen was a character. Again, I like Susan and all of Eileen's 5 roles but there is no reason to have them around. Kristen has reason and Susan does have some for flashbacks or to tie her stories up. That is it. Anything else would be over the top and campy and that is what Days is trying to break from.

Wrong, wrong, wrong. Susan is not a gimmick--she is a fully developed character. And it's totally wrong that she lost EJ. EJ could have been "turned" evil recently without having to be taken away from Susan, or for Susan to die.

BY THE WAY:

If Stefano is so smart and learned Susan still had Elvis, why the hell didn't he save Kristen? HUH???

PLOT HOLE PLOT HOLE PLOT HOLE!!!

As for Sheffer, see above, but replace "plot" with "ass".

For the record, I loved Susan. But there is no way in hell I'd prefer Eileen return to play her versus Kristen.

can't we just have Ali McIntyre screw with John and Marlena? Lisa Linde's free!

Cady could do the role and she could do it justice. ATWT fans were concerned that she couldn't do Rosanna, but she sold the role...I would say CM as a recast Kristen!

you leave my Mike & Carrie alone! :P

The one good thing Sheffer did during his run was marry Carrie and AUSTIN, her beloved soulmate.

I loved Sally Sussman's work on Days. She was like JER but with a vagina. Like JER, she was forced to write a Carrie/Mike romance that was a slap in the face to fans, though.

Actually, JER started Mike and Carrie. He added Mike to help keep Carrie and Austin apart. He just loves to keep forcing more and more obstacles in couples' way and Mike was one of them. I do think Corday forced SSM to continue it because of the Brady/Horton element. It should also be noted that JER has slapped the fans in the face more then a 100 times at least so let's not excuse his actions.

But its also been 10 years, Kristen should have matured somewhat and be more able to be played by Cady. I don't even see Eileen playing the role into the hysterics she did in the 90s if she were to come back.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oCZzpLogIRE -- this is not who Eileen Davidson is anymore.

Plus, the last time Eileen almost seriously came back to Days (which I believe was around the time Ashley was dying of cancer), one stipulation was going to be that she'd only play Kristen, and not Susan or any other multiple roles.

Eileen wouldn't play Kristen the same way this time. Part of the reason she played her that way back in the 90's is because that's what it took to make the story work.

Today, I think Kristen would be more of a "mature bitch" character rather than a psycho, as she once was. And although this might shock people, I wouldn't want Kristen to have a huge story. I would be perfectly happy with her just coming around to support EJ every now and again, and maybe throwing a few things in Marlena's path to piss her off.

Meanwhile, I LOVE that clip you posted! I think that's the first time I've ever seen that!

Why would Nurse Ali be interested in them?

Don't get me wrong, I'd totally be up for Ali's return, but only if she were stalking Carrie and Austin.

Sami's such a b!tch that I could see her getting Ali set free from the sanitarium and unleash her on an unsuspecting Carrie to terrorize her and try to destroy her marriage.

Oh, I don't think so either. And I agree with Drew, who said Kristen would probably come back more together than she was during her 90s run.

JER started Carrie and Mike, yes of course I know that!! But Sally Sussman didn't have to continue with it after JER married Carrie and Austin...Corday forced her to write that story when Mike really should've hooked up with Krista Allen's Billie.

Anyway...

and no one ... sadly ... forces JER to do anything. When Mike started falling for Carrie badly, it was JER. And at that time, JER was producing some of his highest ratings, no one was telling him how to rewrite the show at that time. Even in 2004 when the show became the most god-awful [!@#$%^&*] ever produced, nothing was done.

How do we know he didn't? Huh?!

Besides, even if it turns out to be a plot hole (and we don't know that), Hogan still has to have about 2, 756 more plot holes to reach JER status. .

As for Susan's character, other then Elvis Jr and Edmund, what character development did she have? None. Like I said, gimmick but a lovable one. I like her but let's be realistic.

Krista Allen's Billie always should have been paired with Jensen Ackles' Eric. They had great chemestry.

Back OT, I say screw this recast conjecture, let's just focus our energy on getting Eileen back to DAYS! :)
