I don't see a problem with Ashley writing and asking for more airtime at all (if she did, which it says she did). Veteran actors do it all the time, fact is, Abby IS the character that should be written for, even more than Chelsea (who lets not forget is the result of a dead fetus storyline LOL). With all the SORAS-ing, Abby is fricken older than EJ in real time!! The storyline possibilities were endless and she proved that she had the talent to handle it.
