Loved it. Actually the whole show was good for maintaining a level of tension. That scene capped it off well... and made me go "ha ha!"

That's not negative. Like you said...credit where it's due. And trust that I don't even want to give him that, but that's a fact.

I don't even want to say it that way. But when we got that lovely classic episode at the beginning of the year where you got to see the mansion at its best with all that space AND during a party with everyone mixing it up...it's very sad to see what it is now. And it also says a lot that they have that long hallway and no one really using it. The Newman ranch now has a hallway and they were using it right, left, and everywhere in-between when it was unveiled. And before I stopped watching, they still found ways to use all of that space. But I guess it's all about Cane and his train...which also has a hallway now I see.

Eleven months. Her last episode was Monday, Dec. 28, 1981, and then she came back Wednesday, Dec. 1, 1982. I don't know if it played a role in her departure or absence, but Jackie's husband, DJ Murray "the K" Kaufman, died of cancer on Feb. 21, 1982.

Santa Barbara Discussion Thread

Um, is it true that Santa Barbara is much better remembered today than Capitol is? Santa Barbara had the Cruz and Eden characters, after all. It also had Robin Wright as a regular cast member for several years. Capitol admittedly did better in the seasonal Nielsen ratings in the United States than Santa Barbara ever did, but did Capitol receive any Emmy nominations for writing or acting?

They've pretty much been vague about it until now. I can see how some fans might think that this was all unnecessary, but I didn't mind it. Like I said before, mostly because Hope's been completely cleared.

Agree completely. Frank V has faults and flaws, but credit where credit is due: no one comes close to what he does on GH. I'm consistently amazed at what we see and the Port Charles an beyond world he creates. I hate to be negative, but he really does make the other soaps look even worse by comparison.
"Stage play-ish" is a great way to put it. It's embarrassing, and not just to those of us who remember what it looked like years ago. It's just so cramped and flat, and adding an apparent hallway doesn't open it up at all.

I didn't even know that Stefano was alive yet again...I vaguely remember hints from when I last regularly viewed, but I can't remember if it was ever confirmed off the top of my head...until this week's promo. So it seems they did take that approach of him alive and off-screen.

I do like with that mind, they are giving some form of closure to him to move on to the next generation. I know there are plenty of them on canvas.
