I am really happy that Zarf explained the name 'Zarf'. That was very interesting. I really think the writers answered lots of questions some unconvinced fans have had so far.

Well obviously Raymond Jenkins isn't the Satin Slayer...so the men of PV just ruined their chances to bring the real killer out :( Those PV men are such manhandlers!

It seems like Di is the only one left still affected by Dixie's death. I understand why Tad and JR want to catch this killer, but if someone like Dixie had just died, I'd be a wreck still - and it seems like only Di is still a wreck.

Amanda is hot.

Haha - Kendall just told Ryan OFF! I love it.

And yes, more vigilante manhandling - what this show does best! *PUKE*

Wow - Donald Steele - Its been a LONG time since we've heard that name. I remember loving that little rat.

This in my opinion proves that Dixie's death scenes were re-shot and added into the episode. The fact that pretty much no one even mentions Dixie (at least in the previews I have anyway) for about another 2 weeks proves to me that this was some last minute [!@#$%^&*].

FUABC.......

See - I've thought that. BUT some things still don't make sense.

Cady said that James Mitchell was sick and that is why Palmer wasn't at the hospital for Dixie's death. BUT two days later, he shows up with Opal to the Amelia Cambias Ball. TWO days!

But then, we got Opal for both parts...and we know they wouldn't just bring Opal back for a Zach-related Ball...she came strictly for Dixie's death. So this whole timing thing is off it seems like.

But yeah, I'd think Tad and JR would be so affected by Dixie's death - even Jamie - that they'd at least seem sad instead of just determined to catch the killer. It's just odd.

It's plot driven crap. They were more upset by her fake death when she had already been gone from PV for months when her car went over a cliff in Switzerland and her body was never found. Now, she was murdered by a Serial Killer less than a year after returning from the dead and died right in front of them; yet JR is more interested in if Babe is cheating on him AGAIN (yawn) and whether to rat out her Momma for her cheating and carrying Tad's baby; and Tad (and even Jamie) are just focused on catching the Serial Killer (the same as they were before Dixie died). Tad mourned Simone more than he mourned Dixie. The only people who went to visit Dixie at the Funeral Home were Di, Zach and Ryan. RYAN??? I guess he he had to go there to get the note - more plot driven drivel.

EXACTLY! It's really disgusting. Supposedly there will be a Dixie funeral, so maybe we'll see more mourning there. But right now it's like JR and Tad are already over it.

So again, another reason why the death part of this storyline might have been last minute and reshot and put in at last second. But still the Opal/Palmer stuff doesn't support that. Ugh - who knows...

Jonathan needs to be the next victim. His raging a$$ was annoying today.

Dixie's death was definitely last minute. A little birdie informed me that the writers found out Dixie was to be written off only a few days before Cady was informed. I believe she said she was told about 3 weeks before her final tape date. That's very last minute as the breakdowns and scripts would already have been done for the next month, without Dixie's death!

SPOILER WARNING

Apparently we get loads of Krystal, Zoe, and Bianca (barf...no pun intended) mourning Babe scenes, I guess TIIC felt Babe's "death" should have the monopoly on mourning.

The fact alone that Babe and Dixie share the same funeral is proof enough where the priorities of AMC lay.

I still am craving a response from Megan on Dixie's death, we never got it. Michael E. Knight has yet to speak out as well.

Hopefully Megan's repsonse will be her walking in April, because she won't be fired.

Although at this point I honestly feel like her leaving wouldn't be cause to celebrate. If this is what we get from a writer who has a long history with the show and genuinely likes using the veterans and is probably Tad & Dixie's #1 fan then I really don't see much hope.

I think the fact that the press could only get Justin to talk about Dixie's death and not Michael or Jacob is very tellling.

Maybe it's just me but MEK looked genuinely pissed during the park scenes with Kate/Ghost Dixie. To me at least it looked like more than just "acting" pissed that Dixie died.

    • "And OMG, watching the scenes of Roger's return in comparison...the quality in the writing really nosedived. The stupid mask." Very much agreed.  Having Roger hide behind a mask for weeks/months, with it culminating with him swinging in on a vine at Blake/Phillip's wedding....geez.  So juvenile. IMO, Guiding Light never did a good job reintroducing major characters, either from the dead or elsewhere.  Masked balls = awful.  Amish = awful. When Reva was brought back from the dead, she should've just showed up in Springfield as Reva, and informed everyone that she had been gone for years because she felt like it.  She had a four-year fling with some dude who ended up dumping her due to disloyalty. Josh would be pissed and declare that their love is not *always* but *sometimes* and he'd act accordingly.  Her kids would hate her.
    • Agreed. The Emmys next year are gonna be a pretty tough competition and I hope we get a Days sweep lol  Not only does Deidre deserve a nomination for these last few weeks, but I also think Paul Telfer, Raven Bowens, Carson Boatman, Dan Feuerriegel and Alison Sweeney have good chances as well.
    • It’s not about a lack of faith and trust in MVJ, it’s about a a lack of faith and trust in Ron Carlivati, who I think can be very sneaky and manipulative when he wants to be.  And, all that “He’s just a breakdown writer” talk never changed my mind about anything, because at Days, it was “just a breakdown writer” that gave us some of the worst episodes I’ve ever seen.

    • I think they’re desperately trying to cover his awful tattoos. But anyway them being unable to style short kings properly has been a major pet peeve of mine for a while now.  I honestly don’t understand what some people expect from actors to even begin considering them for recognition. Let’s be real—awards mostly mean that an actor is respected by their peers and has some level of cultural relevance. Actual judgment on the acting itself? That’s often secondary—highly subjective and shaped by the times. I completely agree on both points. If you’re an actor or a dancer you shouldn’t get any tattoos (sorry not sorry). Tomas’ tattoos are ugly too. And regarding the couples- you’re completely right. These writers are unable to write romance.   Further comments: - Kat cannot be this dumb to keep tampering with evidence over and over again. And I’m officially not a fan of the actress—every time she’s in a scene with Leslie, she doesn’t seem intimidated at all. She plays it like comic relief, which is just too much, especially when paired with Leslie’s histrionics and over-the-top antics. Leslie is older, dangerous, and has literally been portrayed as homicidal—Kat should be at least a little scared. • I also didn’t like Kat playing damsel in distress with the hotel manager. It gave off the same weird energy as Dani with the cop. I would’ve much preferred the version Paul Raven suggested, with her sneaking in through housekeeping. • And yes, Dani again accused Hayley of faking the pregnancy—this time even specifying she might be using a pillow under her shirt. (No fake miscarriage being mentioned) I stand by my take: this is ridiculous writing. No one in the real world—except us, the chronically online soap watchers—would even think of such a conspiracy theory. Haley is no Beyoncé. • What in the world was Chelsea wearing in her hair the other day? And this whole thing with Madison is beyond cringe. Chelsea’s coming off as needy and toxic—basically like every other Dupree. • I’m glad the casino storyline is moving forward, but it’s still boring as hell. Honestly, I’d be so here for a plot twist where Vanessa and Doug take Joey out. • The direction and editing lately have been rough. Abrupt cuts, weird pacing… something just feels off overall. There’s a strange uneasiness to how it’s all coming together. • And finally: Tomas is too much of a saint. Where are the messy sluts when you need them? (Vanessa doesn’t count.)
