I think Armus's intention is to turn Dixie back into her former self by having Tad discover that she's been brainwashed--which would explain why she's not herself.

Several people who have read Armus's bible told me that it was very good and very old fashioned with a lot of focus on Pine Valley's history. Armus wanted the characters to be more of themselves. [s.W.S.N.B.N.] had outlined that Brooke English start a women's magazine and Armus used this to create a new Erica/Brooke war that was to affect everybody in PV. I did not read the bible myself, so you're getting 3rd hand reporting here.

I've seen theories like this, that Dixie might have been suffering from a prolonged head trauma caused by the accident, which is why she's acted so cold since she returned. It would have been the better way to go that's for sure.

Burton Armus sounds amazing, and him calling Frons an idiot, I'd have loved to have been a fly on that wall just to see Frons' expression

I'm scared to say, man.

I was told by Armus himself that he was coming to AMC and he seemed really peeved about the show's current condition. It's like he takes it personal.

Then again, Brian Frons is KING OF THE HILL and he's not about to lose control of AMC to somebody who secretly thinks he's "stupid".

Armus is a pretty intimidating looking guy and it's clear that he won those writing Emmys from smarts. He also specializes in "murder mystery" and "secrets", he loves controversial social issues with elements of homosexuality, drugs, money. Each EMMY he won was for a "social issue" type of show. He loves social issues.

He wanted Erica and Brooke to the be "center" of his show.

Thanks for the information EricaKane4life. I like most of the bible except for this part:

Ugh no way do I want Binks relentlessly pursuing some woman old enough to be her mom who stole her baby from her in the first place with that stupid test switch. I thought Lena was too old for her even and Olga is my age :D For once I would like to see Bianca being chased except by Zarf  The woman is young, rich and gorgeous. She should have women falling over her.

The rest sounds great especially undoing the unabortion. I think that really started the show on the downward path although I pretty much stopped watching consistantly during spermgate.

And this sums up what is wrong with ABCD:

But raping and threatening women and burying people alive is'nt?

The man is killing the last ABC soap I can still occassionally stand to watch. I just hate him. And I blame the suits above him as well. Oh how I wish I could get into DAYS. But NBC just has never been my network. I never thought I would see the day I envied DAYS fans but man is it ever here.

I don't care for bisexual Krystal. Maybe if they brought back Laura (played by a better actress than the last one) and revisited the Bianca/Laura story. It would make sense and make for great drama especially if Brooke and Erica and at the center of the Armus AMC. Also don't care for bisexual Ryan. The Nina/Palmer/Opal/Myrtle story sounds like a dream. Sigh, if only it were more than a dream.

Well, with Brooke leaving the show then I would think that Burton is not going to be joining AMC. It sounds like the focus was going to be on the rivalry between Brooke/Erica and that would have been really entertaining. I think that he would have pushed TIIC to renew her contract instead of offering her recurring. I wonder what kind of storylines Kendall would have. I guess we will never know now and that is a real shame.

Okay.

Bianca started pursuing Krystal relentlessly.

I personally got my own perception and kind of saw Bianca as stalking Krystal by pursuing her relentlessly. I just found that to be odd. But JMO.

I guess i'm just not feeling the dead bi-ryan story, the cult Dixie story or the Bianca/Krystal love story.

I do love the Nina and Palmer stories however and I even mildly intrigued by Myrtle and Opal's stories. . Those would be hits. The rest I felt are misses. But then again I haven't seen or read them. So just taking it all at face value.

    • @chrismlAbout Lisa, agree to disagree. Actually at the time she was the only thing my partner & I disagreed about. Naturally she was Team Vicky while I was steadfast as Team Lisa.  About John & twin paternity, I think that like the 3 pillows was a transitory idea someone had that no one else agreed with. More of the attempt to accommodate Philece. About MJ, co-sign, 100% agree, if there were more degrees I would claim them. About Wally & Felicia, always a fan. Mitch? Eh, take or leave. Although I do agree that WGE is a really striking man. Who have I left out? I don't know so that's all I got.

    • Dallas peaked early, IMO. Maybe not a fair statement as I’m still making my way through the first half of its run, but I think it’s hard to argue to point that S3 into S4 was its high point. Back to Knots. Wrapping up “And Never Brought to Mind.” Greg’s introduction kinda took me by surprise. I low-key dreaded his arrival bc I know he very quickly gets to the center of the show, but even though they wasted no time connecting him with Mac, Abby, Gary, and Karen, it still feels like a gradual intro. The juxtaposition of the ending of the Chip story with the heating up Abby’s plotting is quite symbolic of the changes the show was going through. I absolutely cannot imagine Kenny and Ginger having any part in any of this. Yall, the Gary/Val piano theme that they pull out from time to time is my FAVORITE. I find myself humming it constantly.
    • Bloodshed is inevitable now. It’s another reason I’m glad Black people aren’t getting involved in these protests. As awful as this is, I keep reminding myself that 54 percent of Latino men voted for Trump. These people were put in harm’s way by members of their own communities and sometimes even members of their own families. Too many people decided to touch the stove.
    • Maybe I'm still in denial, but nothing about Neighbours' ongoing social media output gives the vibe of a show that's ending. In today's 'Roundup' video, Alan Fletcher referenced that production finishes in five weeks, but in all the show's posts the cast are as jovial and lighthearted as ever. Remarkably so for people who are about to lose their jobs.    Perhaps they're just putting a brave face on things, and I know they approached the previous axing with a positive attitude. Maybe putting an upbeat face on things is a collective way of showing potential backers that there's still life in the show? Or is it possible that they already know the show has been saved, and we'll get an announcement next month when filming wraps and the show 'rests'?   Does any of that make sense?!
    • A very good week for male eye candy on GH. New Michael is beautiful, Curtis's arms looked great in that polo shirt, Cody looks even more handsome with his new haircut AND we got Marco in swim shorts rocking his lovely bod and chest fur.

    • Yeah when Jamey Giddens did breakdowns for DAYS, he would sometimes state in tweets that specific things were his idea that he had pitched to Ron.
    • I don't, since they've clearly incorporated them into Tomas' storyline, and I happen to like his tattoos, but his jackets not fitting doesn't mean they're trying to cover his tattoos. The clothing overall isn't the issue; it's the fit. And I expect(ed) more from Jeresa Featherstone and her team. Very disappointed. He's the only male, overall, whose costume irritates me.
    • "And OMG, watching the scenes of Roger's return in comparison...the quality in the writing really nosedived. The stupid mask." Very much agreed.  Having Roger hide behind a mask for weeks/months, with it culminating with him swinging in on a vine at Blake/Phillip's wedding....geez.  So juvenile. IMO, Guiding Light never did a good job reintroducing major characters, either from the dead or elsewhere.  Masked balls = awful.  Amish = awful. When Reva was brought back from the dead, she should've just showed up in Springfield as Reva, and informed everyone that she had been gone for years because she felt like it.  She had a four-year fling with some dude who ended up dumping her due to disloyalty. Josh would be pissed and declare that their love is not *always* but *sometimes* and he'd act accordingly.  Her kids would hate her.
    • Agreed. The Emmys next year are gonna be a pretty tough competition and I hope we get a Days sweep lol  Not only does Deidre deserve a nomination for these last few weeks, but I also think Paul Telfer, Raven Bowens, Carson Boatman, Dan Feuerriegel and Alison Sweeney have good chances as well.
