DAYS STAR GETS RESTLESS

Look for soap vet Susan Seaforth Hayes (Julie, Days of our Lives) to reprise her role as Lauren Fenmore's !@#$%^&*]y mother, JoAnna Manning, just in time for the Fenmore-Baldwin nuptials on The Young and the Restless. Joanna was last seen on Y&R back in the '80s, although she briefly popped up on sister soap The Bold and the Beautiful in 2003.

"All I know is this: In a few weeks, Joanna will be rising again, like a cobra, on the happy occasion of her daughter's marriage," Seaforth Hayes tells TVGuide.com. "I have purchased a red wig to sharpen the family resemblance [to Tracey E. Bregman, who plays Lauren], but I am in the dark about what the character is up to. Will wonders never cease?"

This isn't the cheeky actress' only moonlighting gig. She and husband Bill Hayes (Doug, Days) have coauthored the showbiz memoir Like Sands Through the Hourglass about falling in love both on and off the soap-opera screen.

That's cool! I've never seen the character before, so this will be interesting. She sounds like a fun personality. I can picture her and Gloria already. LOL!

Wasn't this announced before? Was it revealed by a soap insider or one of the mags? Also didn't it go along with one of the tags that Y&R/Bells' are going to try and dish over an actor for this switch too?

I cant wait to see her on there. I'm not a reg. watcher, but I love Susan so I'll prolly just tune in and watch the first day.
