Christie has really disappointed me. I thought he was a different Republican, but the George Washington Bridge scandal paints him in an extremely ugly light. He is willing to use the government to settle personal scores. Just what we need, another Nixon.

The problem with Femme Fatale is that the songs are all too similar. I prefer Club Britney to Pop Britney, I actually really don't even listen to her first 3 albums anymore even though I loved them once upon at time. But Blackout is just the best Club Britney album. So many experimental songs with WTF different sound effects and synths and beats. Plus Blackout was just so unexpected.

I knew from the start will.i.am would be poison. Talentless hack. Reunite Britney with the "Blackout" team. Most influential pop album in the past ten years.

The Democrats, even with a successful ACA rollout, were never going to capture the House in 2014. That was like fanfiction. Gaining a couple House seats would be a huge coup. Keeping the Senate would be a huge coup. Taking back the House was not going to happen, ever. It would be unprecedented. It all matters so little. I post on politics message boards, and the conservatives keep coming at us like we are on the defensive with the ACA. But the hardcore liberal base never supported the ACA to begin with. To me, this is our transition to single-payer. We must keep it for now, but it doesn't mean I like it.

Some of the interviews that have been done with the cast and crew seem to indicate that they weren't really going anywhere with the lesbian thing, it was just Richard being Richard.

The primaries on the Republican side seem to just be a side show. "The party chooses" the candidate. They chose Bush, McCain, and they chose Romney, and they ended up being the nominees even with wingnuts going crazy over it. The media do not control the GOP primaries, but if the establishment chooses Christie, he will have the same inevitable march Romney and McCain had.

I actually have to echo most of what Max said on this page. Hillary is a great elder stateswoman, she is a brilliant mind, she had played the game (she voted for the Iraq War for god's sake and supported the troop surge) but she is not a brilliant politician. She cannot sell [!@#$%^&*] with a smile the way Bill could.

I think Christie is being underestimated. I agree that he is further outside the mainstream than he appears, but with the right having gone apeshit the past few years, he is able to appear more mainstream than he really is. And Hillary is being overestimated. Her approval ratings aren't what they were in 2011. And she is a woman. It's gonna hurt her. The things we're not allowed to say about male candidates will be used against her. I see the gender gap coming into play, except I think woman-on-woman crime could do her in. If it is Hillary vs. Christie, I could definitely see him winning.

I'm sick of hearing about it. Shut down the government already and then the Republicans will lose that bargaining chip for another 15 years like they did the last time the government shut down. As for defaulting, unfortunately that could have permanent effects on our interest rates, but I say we go ahead and let them do that as well so they can lose that bargaining chip. I don't want Obama to negotiate with them.

SoapNet showing season 1 episodes right now. Holy crap, I have not seen these in forever.... maybe I have only seen them once or twice if ever? Tuned in expecting to see this week's DAYS episodes and caught this. This is so much different than what the show became, kind of like Knots Landing season 1 or Dynasty season 1... a real interesting perspective on moving from the midwest to Beverly Hills. Actual character development for Jim and Cindy. They would completely lose that by season 2. I liked the reboot in the "summer season" of season 2 but this is good too. Muting my BB feeds for this.

I also have to say -- I feel horrible because Brian Austin Green was such a cute kid in Knots Landing and the early seasons of 90210 -- but damn. He got hot. And all of David's sleazy drug addiction/in debt storylines only make him hotter. I feel dirty :-/

Is there any place on the internet where these can be watched? I saw there was a DVD set of all ten seasons and I was all set to go but then I saw that they dubbed over the original music, just like the MSCL release... I think the music was such an important part of this show that I don't know if I can make that purchase, at least not for that price :-/
