  1. I wonder if they'll show episodes with Brenda Dickson and Terry Lester. I doubt they want to risk rubbing someone (PB) the wrong way.
  2. Thanks! I love to see how the actors sound in different languages. Those 2005 episodes were so bittersweet. Adrienne Leon and Davetta Sherwood... so many missed opportunities.
  3. Yes, her only symptom. I'm not up to date with her current state. I gather 'no news is good news'.
  4. Happy for you. I think on average you develop symptoms within 5 days. One of my coworkers developed symptoms on her 13th day of self-quarantine. She could not smell. The next day, she tested positive. Eerie.
  5. Didn't know about that. So sick! Glad he didn't make it to the race.
  6. I can't even imagine what certain segments of society are going through. LGBT kids trapped with homophobic parents. Young workers trapped with dangerous flatmates (1 year ago, my flatmate became my stalker... thank God I moved out but it wasn't easy). Quarantine can be a nightmare for many people, my heart goes out to them. The picture with the homeless sleeping in a parking lot was shocking. It reminded me of an article I read a couple of years ago by a person who works for a charity that gives out food and clothes to the homeless. Some of them see the streets as their home and they just won't take shelter anywhere else, because of even worse experiences and distrust (hence authorities should make more of an effort to deserve their trust). That's just another perspective.
  7. Let me tell you my experience: everyone should be provided with masks. Everyone should wear them. A couple of weeks ago, I learned my boss tested positive. I found myself at risk of having contracted the virus. I was self-quarantining before the lockdown was even in place. Then I was forced to leave my apartment. There was no other solution, I had to leave my apartment for 2 hours. I needed a mask, but I had no masks. Because every expert had said "Leave the masks to the infected and the health workers". I don't understand why it should be my fault that no one thought of amping up face masks production when they knew an epidemic/pandemic was on its way (the WHO warned the most at risk countries in January). Anyway, as soon as they produce more face masks, everyone will be/should be provided with a package of face masks.
  8. Thank you! Wow, that quality is pristine! And what an ensemble of characters. I'd love to see the episode because it looks very well balanced as a whole. And most of the characters are still here.
  9. I've always been curious as to what made this show so attractive to a male audience. Is there any particular storyline you can recommend for me to watch on Youtube? I'd love to know if there's any special Youtube channel or playlist with at least a complete storyline from the show.
  10. Me too! And look at Dua Lipa's videos. That's what Lady Gaga's videos should look like in 2020. Not that garbage 'Stupid Love'.
  11. 2-3 months of rigid lockdown. But our lives won't go back to normal for a while. LOL!
  12. LOL! Do you think there's a video of that?
  13. You should also wash your hands before and after wearing gloves, it's not like gloves are germ-repellent. Where do you get your data? Scholars are still discussing why Italy has been especially hit, so I don't understand where you're coming from. Also, the infection rate in NYC has unfortunately become twice the infection rate in Lombardy in the space of a few days. It's really hard to measure how many times an entire population bathes (also: it's not related to the virus). I have no clue if Italians bathe more or less than other people. One thing is for sure: each one of us could never live without a bidet in their house LOL your imagery dates back to 1950s.
  14. My heart breaks for these human beings. Not only did they have to endure immense suffering, now this. I just don't know what to say. Early on in this health emergency, I would not refuse to shake hands with anyone because I would never want for anyone to feel 'rejected' or 'infected'. As a Millennial gay man I did not live through the AIDS emergency era but somehow I can empathize a little bit.
  15. https://twitter.com/MonaChalabi/status/1240991030008315904?s=20 How do I show a tweet? lol It's a cool infographic on the difference between social distancing vs self quarantine vs isolation
  16. Yeah, but I thought the tweets were talking about Netflix's growth in the next few months. You enjoy the documentaries but apparently you're already a Netflix user. I don't see how the platform will attract any new consumers without new products. Because they'll definitely run out of them. We'll see
  17. I don't see how Netflix is supposed to grow and profit if it can't produce anything new, really. People will get tired of the same old pretty quickly.
  18. I'm loving everyone's contribution from all over the world. Very interesting. Thanks guys.
  19. Gloomy ads like that one don't work. Look at Bloomberg's recent campaign. Some of Hillary's 2016 videos. Or watch the film "No" (Chile, 2012). It explains really well why these ads don't work. Trump did make a fool out of himself with those statements but that's not the right way to show his contradictions.
  20. This type of gloomy ads have literally never worked.
  21. It's not like you have until 8pm to go and enjoy your life. The danger is already there even before 8pm. Everyone should stay at home, everywhere in the world. Because we are all on the same boat. Better late than never! If the people won't listen, the government should enlist the Army. SARS was not as infectious as the new coronavirus. Hence it was pretty much restricted to some world areas.
  22. I agree. You're feeling guilty because for now there are just a couple thousands of cases. Unfortunately every positive person infects on average 2 to 3 people. So you can do the math. You'll stop feeling guilty in no time. You did the right thing for yourself and for everyone else. I think circumstances like this bring out people's true colors. May I give you some unrequested advice? Be adamant about this. Tell your mom she can't go to work, period. Tell her boss she's not available. Period. Come up with an excuse or something. Time will show you were right.
  23. That brought tears to my eyes. @DRW50 thank you for clarifying - I'm loving your contribution to this thread ❤️
  24. the second tweet must be a hoax right? Tel me it’s a hoax.
